I have my reasons for not coming to the local meets.

And "dont turn around next time we go up the mountain." Can you explain that, it makes no sense...

I didn't know where the event was I just know how to get to the dragon and back. Anyway I was late so I probably missed out on a lot anyway. I figured I would have ran into a bunch of rx-7s on the dragon when I went anyway.. I was let down when there wasn't any there. Oh well next year.

Yeah, I remember. I had a very busy day. I couldn't just spend 2 hours going off and doing something. I went to the meet (albeit a bit late but they usually last longer at one spot) and that's what I expected to go to. I had things to do that night. My responsibilities don't just get put on hold because people decide to go run the Dragon.

If that's not a good enough explanation, then how about this one: my car was not mechanically sound. I was late that day because I had to change my oil since it was the first time I drove the car in several months. I'm not about to go drive the Dragon without a proper check of my car (which served me well since I found potentially fatal problems).

DGRR is not about the Dragon. It's about meeting all the people and seeing the cars. I/people can run the Dragon whenever they choose, but there's only 1 big get together like this that offers the chance to meet people and see the cars like this.

the actual event was up in bryson city NC, where a few cars just never went down saturday, I didnt see the Re-Speed FB go down at all, just a few short passes in front of the resort, and I dont think one of the 20b's went either on saturday, neither did the RE5 bike. It really wasnt that bad of a drive up there, mostly 4lane highway after you get past fontana a few miles.

Not sure about the others, but the RE-5 wouldn't start.

It took me about an hour in the Mazda 6 to get from Nantahala through the Dragon.

If you got down in 40 you were driving way too fast.

We had a camera Louie, but neither of us was in a picture taking mode, more like drool.

And what im not sure what a "96zx" is, but what kind of 13b do you have for this swap? 86-88 nonturbo, 87-88 turbo, 89-91 nonturbo, 89-91 turbo, or 93-95 twinturbo? Or is it a 13b-re?

I'm guessing he has a 2nd gen 300ZX. Wouldn't recommend swapping a rotary into that heavy bird at all. Why are you asking here?

Hey guys, zeefoto.com has Saturday pics up!!! There's 47 pages, over 1000 shots. Some of ours were on 7, 23, 24, 46... and some others I think. They got some pretty good ones, including Jeremy all the way in the wrong lane!!!.... not really, just kiddin' Jeremy

They had a few of the rest of us. Oh the purpleness. On one pass the guy got a little crazy with Lou's truck, he took like 5 shots of it as it went by! Totally missed the rear of our cars for it too.

Killboy and US129 should both have quite a few. What sucks is that when I went back by on my own and actually got a chance to run my car a little, a lot of them were just sitting around or looking through the pics on their cameras.
