Yeah, putting the correct series motor into the car would be the best choice.
As for bristol count me out for that....aint no way im driving out to that and dealing with the traffic and drivers.

Well, as for my S4 t2....
I dunno.
How much would it be to buy water seals for a s5 t2 motor?
if I got enough to buy those and whatever else I'd need to put back when taking one apart..That's all I'd need out of it.
Anybody ever replaced just the water jacket seals? How much for that?

well when you pull the core apart you have to replace all the soft seals at the minimum, then check the spec's on everything, clean it up, and dont break anything putting it back together.

http://www.rotaryaviation.com/overhaul_kits.htm
There's the kits available from Rotary Aviation, which from what I hear is about the cheapest kit on the market. I can't speak for their quality or anything, so search the forum for reviews and opinions.

There's Atkin's Rotary. They also have pricing for the individual parts on their site.
I hate to say it, but you're looking at an expensive proposition either way.

Anybody need a S4 turbo motor?
Forget trying to frankenstein it.
I just need to get a s5 swap so I can still build my original the way I want it, or just rebuild the original one back to normal.
So, if anybody needs a turbo S4 t2 motor or has an S5 t2 or a rebuild for a S5 t2...hit me up.

Where is... Carmen San Diego... located? And what do you have? I hardly ever see RX-7's on the road. I know most of the people around town that have FC's at least, but every time I see one it's someone I don't know.
I have a purple FC TII and a white FB, both pretty recognizable if you see them.
And yes, gasoline is going to kill us all this summer. That's why I have to do something about it. I'll either get a bike this summer or something else...

gas is only gonna kill you boys with turbo's i get a nice comfy 20+ mpg
oh yeah, and cody i wouldnt recommend the t2 swap unless you have the rest of the items to go with it, like the harness, ecu, trans, driveshaft, rear dif, halfshafts, clutch...im sure im missing a few things too

He has the TII drivetrain already. As for the harness, the guy we got the motor from was running it on an N/A harness. We got a ton of stuff, including the ECU, AFM, fuel rail, and a lot of sensors. So I think he's gonna be set.
It'll kill us in the verts too unless I go only highway. I get 15/19 And guess what I do most of. 15/19 is what I get on a good day. I need to just turbo it so I get 15/19 and have a turbo.
Anyway I'm car shopping as we speak. I need a truck for a recently acquired boat. but I'd be back and square one with the mileage. So I guess I'll put a towing package on my buick? and take care of that problem.

whereiscarmensandiego- where are you at? are ya close by? It's always nice to meet other rotorheads...I haven't seen but one third gen (and only once) since I've been in Cleveland. Wretched.
but yea...gas is a bia...and 4.77's are killing the wallet...plus the Korean loose spec's whine. dammit! among other odd noises emanating from my rear end.
Summer goal: Suspension!
