it's intereting....after reading through the entire 8 pages i'm surprised nobody has brought up variations in whp figures due to difference in types of dyno's, temperature during dyno pull etc
the OP could be making 405rwhp on a mustang dyno, which would be around 450whp on a dynojet. c6z's dyno around 440-470whp on a dynojet, but then again, every dynojet reads different as well, ditto for every mustang dyno, dyno dynamics, and dynopacks.
apply this to everybody jumping arguing "i know this FD making 4xx rwhp" etc....it could change some of the arguments on this thread.
unless 2 cars in comparison have been dyno'ed on the same dyno, same day, back to back, there are too many variations to based arguments on the whp figure. trap speed is the true indication of power, and if one of the cars in comparison doesn't go to the track frequently enough to figure out the trap speed, then racing the cars off a rolling start (such as what the OP has done) will yield a good indication of which car's faster.
there are variations in the relativity of trap speeds as well....for example LACR here in southern California is famous for taking ET's and trap speeds out of cars' times...e.g. an Evo IX can barely break high 13's here and trap at 100mph...on a good track a IX is capable of low 13's @ 104, with the fastest stock IX time/trap @ 12.7 & 107mph.
bottom line is all the arguments in attempt to discredit what the OP described has happened are kind of pointless - we're just running in circles. what happened already happened, and it happened with consistency. unless the OP is lying....which he has no incentive to.

I think it's really impossible to tell unless the cars race under the same conditions at the same time. That being said I've heard of the new z06 running 10's and trapping 130, however I've never seen them actually do that. Same with 400rwhp fd's. At our local track I've never seen a c6z06 trap higher than a 120mph. Track, temp, and humidity play a huge factor. People have a bad habit of taking the best example and making that the rule. Which is never a good idea.

stock twins with load bearing dyno 380 wheel HP, a nice torque curve and stock body parts should beat a stock C6 Z06 from a roll. The best mph range for the FD to beat the C6 Z06 would be between about 45 mph and 110 mph.
add an extra 80 HP or so to the FD for having
giant aftermarket parachute front end
single turbo with poor torque curve
laggy oversized intercooler
under hood hot air sucking open air cleaner

It all boils down to driver if a 400whp FD beat a C6Z06....the matter of fact about it is C6ZO6's have trapped 125mph+. Look at what most 400whp FD's run 121-122mph at best. JMHO

I only have 320 whp and i know on a roll I can get to 120 pretty damn quick without thinking about it. Truth of the matter is all driver. Did any of you guys watch the forza motorsports showdown on speed channel. The c6zo6 only ran like a 12.7 best during the drag portion and that was a modified one. I think a well tuned 350whp rotary with a little weight reduction and right suspension and tires will stomp on a c6zo6. Which is all very attainable for less than the sticker price of the c6zo6. Be realistic the average driver doesnt know how to keep the power to the floor in a z06, more than likely they have money and wanted a fast production car to feel some kind of void and all the know how to do is step on a gas peddle. If you have 350+hp in a rx-7 its because you put it there and you know how to drive it and hold it to the floor. So if the two come accross eachother I wouldnt be surprised if a rx-7 similair to mine with 320 couldnt take it out.

The new C6 Z06 1/4 times and speeds are relative to the density altitude. They all can run a high 10 on drag radials if your air is -2000 ft, yeah 2000 ft below sea level. Run them at +2000 ft and they're 12 second cars.

Let's just make it easy. Use the trap speed calculator as that's a good estimate for HP. Use the calculator for a reality check of HP numbers too if you've been to the strip.

If you wanted to go one step further, here are some correction factor charts for forced induction and NA.

Here's how you would figure density altitude for the charts in the above link.
