Yesterday I finally got around to replacing the engine to manifold and manifold to turbo gaskets on my FC... It rained on me most of the time.

Somewhat pricey, but well worth the feeling when I started it up today. Ah, sweet sweet RB REV TII exhaust tune in my ear. Made sure there were no leaks and drove it around. Wow, improved the response tremendously... It almost feels like a totally brand new car.

The exhaust leak was from the manifold to turbo gasket. It was completely shot. Not a good feeling driving it around like that. The loss of throttle response along with that horrific noise. Ugh. Glad to have replaced them!

new leading burq9eq plugs and added 2 cycle. Also put the glass sunroof on for the nice weather and went for a drive. Then I washed the car first time this year

Got some "new" shoes. Perfect fitment, thanks again Tim!

I'm thinking of painting my VS-XX's black, or selling them for some CE-28's.

Washed and drove the rotary bug yesterday. Took the GoPro with but no one wanted to race. Saw an evo but it looked like it was going for a test drive cause he had price and year stickers on the windshield as I drove past him... Hopefully I can get it leaned out and be able to drive it without eating as much gas...

What started as a simple wire fix...

Needed to fix the plug for my trailing ignition - the other day I was playing around with wire tuck ideas and snapped the 30 year old wire in half no tach or trailing.

Then I noticed that my fan belt was TOAST. Literally falling apart and super loose. Thank's for holding out so long, baby! Sorry to push it like that. I promise I wont any more. Thankfully (thanks to ArmyOfOne) I had a spare belt lying around, so I pulled the fan to put that on. Well... I figure since the fan is off I might as well see how permanant the grime is....

Ah i see - it totally comes off. Well I can't just stop half way... so the rest has to come off.

And then Put it all back together. All this just to make a "quick trip" to the store to get ready for the interior re-do.

Cheers, gentlemen.

Will be finishing out the wire tuck through the fenders, probably after I get the interior back in the car and stereo all hooked up.

Then time to pull out the tooth brush and get to work on the engine bay deep clean.

Tuned 93 FD

Had the car tuned at Forged Performance/Trackforged in Portland Oregon (david) 503-674-0293. I talked with the tuner about my needs and expectations and asked for a conservative tune. On the Mustang Dynamometer I ended up making 332whp/293tq @ 11psi on stock ports; I reach full boost at about 3900rpm in case anyone was wondering. I could have gotten more out of the set-up but i am on the stock original clutch.

Overall im happy with the set-up and glad i went single I will be making some changes to the ports and running more boost next year. I will also be looking at new manifolds, smaller primary inj. and possibly going v-mount.

Mod List:
Power FC
T04R .84 AR exht
AEM Wtr/Meth 50/50
PFS SMIC
Fluidyne Rad.
Full RB exhaust no cat
HKS Twin Power
FFE Rails
ID 1000cc/2000cc inj
AEM Tru-boost controller
PLX SM-6 Wideband
Tweak-it air pump delete pully

Excellent numbers and setup. I'm all about the balanced setup over the extreme.

For myself - project derustification is under way. Interior is pulled and spot repairing rust growths. Worst part was my ECU mount! Tonight is the spare tire well.

Then: Hushmat, speakers, new carpet liner, shampoo carpets, paint faded panels

Pushed it out of the garage to do a tune up to my mother in law's car. Recovered the sunroof on my shell that sits outside, so it wont leak any more. Sat in it and remembered how fun it is to drive it. Stared lovingly into the gauges and sighed.

Got the exhaust off and drained the transmission fluid. Slowly making progress on my 5speed swap.
Lets get out there and make the natural habitat of the rx7 the road!

Looks like a close relative to the T10 Rock crusher I had in my Chevelle way back when.
