what did you do to your rx7 today
Congrats, ehime. Make sure to service anything you aren't 100% the last owner did recently. Do you have any pics?
I feel you Jack. My car has been firmly in project status since 2010 after having the first of two children. My priorities changed, and extra money goes to family stuff. I've got great aspirations still.
My dad has a 56 Chevy he fixed up in the 80s and took off the street to redo in 2000. He is still finishing it because of determination and years of memories with the car. We just have to take it slow. It is frustrating, but worth it in the end.
What I did to my RX7 today was reflect on my ownership & how everyday since May I have worked towards trying to fix my car up so I could enjoy it ... Normal people don't pull the engine in their car 6 times ... is like a dream wife to me, except I'm stuck in the friend zone and she looks scary without makeup in the morning.

Worked more on the TII Motor/Tranny long block - nearly assembled and ready to drop in the car, then the wiring begins. Welded up a fun little oil filler neck to go around the intake.
Last month I bought a White 94 from a fellow club member in Redmond with Fearnopiston. After parting out what we did not want, I swapped in a fresh streetported engine, 99 twins, wiring, 1300cc injectors, and act/street strip. I bought a 99 bumper and accessories from Corksport and had them painted. It's got Mazdaspeed struts/springs, suspension techniques swaybars, RE toe/trails, upgraded swaybar mounts, and hawk HP's. I need to install my wideband and datalogit so I can start tuning this week.
Bought a turbo 2 this week. Shes been very neglected. Yesterday took off the uim to inspect grounds and stuff. Found a bad looking ecu ground and cleaned it. Removed some randomly added ground wires. Noticed the omp rod was disconnected. Today drained oil, coolant, transmission fluid and replaced them. Also replaced plugs, fuel filter, and air filter.
Ordered dual alt pulley, belts, ngk plug wires, new uim gasket, and new shifter bushings. Hopefully get it running this weekend

Hey guys, haven't posted here for awhile, been busy with work and military stuff. Anyway, I've made some progress on my fc since its been down. pulled the motor and broke it down (oil control ring decided it wanted to go kaput), took out all the a/c hoses and other miscellaneous whatnots. Yesterday, I bought a full s4 TII swap for 500 bucks. Motor has roughly 130,xxx to 135,xxx miles on it. Came with pretty much everything i need to do my swap, minus a tii diff. Super stoked! More updates as progress is made. I'll take more pictures as the week goes on.

Made a trip to Des Moines and Olympia to pick up my engine, trans, drive shaft, and complete GSL rear end on Saturday. I am a few odds and ends away from ready to install it in the car - and after that, an exhaust system away from being able to drive it.
I bought the rolling chassis without a plan to get it going, but the plan seems to be forming itself
