what did you do to your rx7 today
Today we boosted for the pretty girls, also drove it like a skateboard standing on the door seal coasting down a bussy street holding the steering wheel.. Ran out of gas at the light (too many pretty girls), coasted down 162nd from burnside to stark got going pretty good about 20. 2 cops saw me and didn't pull me over
. it had to be illegal. It was too much fun not to be.
bought more goodies for the carb. Now back to tunning I go.
Completed exhaus cutout cover and discovered that my old school oil pressure gauge does not like high pressure...it filled the gauge!! lol.

took it to the dyno day bbq at intec today.
what a fiasco. first off it wasnt boosting the ten pounds i wanted it was boosting .4 bar. maybe a half a bar. i wanted it around .7 bar. guessing my manual controller is broken. second. i have a leak from the lim gasket. third the car was idling kinda funny. the alt was barely charging the battery and it had to be pushed started several times.
dyno report:
183.8 whp
163.8 tourqe

Car has been sitting since 2007 so i decided to give it a nice wash and wax. Also grabbed a few bolts and parts to polish. Bought a $500 fuel system new from rx7 store and found the pitch was wrong on the fuel rail. Now i need to buy a 1.75" x 18 pitch tap, AWESOME! Ordered $948 dollars worth of parts including a ACT extreme clutch kit, ACT 13pound flywheel, aftermarket primary fuel rail, and other misc parts form Banzai Racing.

Well i have the Rex in the shop (last week) getting the '99 spec front end/wing put and a sleek light HID kit on and getting painted.. Can't wait. Should be done in a day or 2. Will post before and after pics. Sticking with the Montego Blue.

Tapped my aftermarket primary and secondary fuel rails, bolted on the ACT flywheel, polished a few parts, and added the cold start block off plate. Looking forward to getting the new clutch and finish up my fuel rails.
dropped the tank cleaned it put the f/p back in after de rusting it, and bench testing it, ony for it to fail after the second start......thinking of selling it ....or setting it a blaze
