I finally installed the new trans after I got it cleaned up. It went in like butta nice and smooth. got it all bolted up. Started fine. Went to engage the clutch and either I have a bad release bearing or fork, or the slave is not engaging it all the way. It is making an aweful spinning/grinding sound from that area when I release the clutch.
NAPA had a slave in stock so I will try that and see if I get enough pressure to engage the clutch fully. Could be because I have an upgraded Pressure plate. We will see...
Really want to get it on the road now that I have title tags and registration.

Going out to install the proper one now.
installed the 720's yesterday, fixed a vacuum leak at an oil injector also. found out why my clutch is acting up. the bleeder is leaking. so it loses pressure fast. I have to pull it off the ground and force it out of gear from time to time. I bought some new bleeders hopefully one fits. it was an assorted pack.
Anyone know the thread pitch and size of the bleeder on the slave cylinder?

well today i fixed the big block off plate vacuum leak. was a big one. then replaced the rad hose and belt that were taken out in the snapping of my alt belt last night.
Don't worry about that. The factory alarm sucks *** anyways. The only time mine has gone off is either when I'm trying to get into it with the key or when it's sitting there by it self.... + has been for several hours/days... That thing is a piece of ****.

Been tryin for 3 days to get the flywheel nut off the repu motor, no joy yet. Went to Tacoma screw and got a piece of thick channel and drilled a couple holes in it to mount to flywheel and brace the motor, I'll try again in a bit. Still have the damned plugs stuck in the rear housing though, haven't located a thin walled spark plug socket yet to get em out.
OMP on the 13b in my fb is still puking oil, gotta get new omp lines or go premix soon. I did get the Dellorto dialed in though, my mileage is much better too! But the flywheel is all chewed up and if I try to give her any serious pedal it just starts slipping.

Hey Ray I just use a piece of 4 inch wide flat steel with a 1/4 inch hole on it to trap one of the Dowels on the flywheel. Then I use a pressure plate bolt or another dowel to keep it from spinning. Then I use a 4 foot long pipe on the 3/4 inch drive socket to give me some leverage.
Also use a large rubber mallet to beat of the flywheel face to gt the flywheel off. Just leave the large nut on a couple of turns to keet the FW from tuning into a ninja star. lol. (Thanks Kettleman!) Support the front pully with a chunck of wood to save your thrust bearings.

Thanks Jesus, I'm using a similar manner. Damn socket has that bevel on the inner side, so I'm having a hard time keeping it from popping off under pressure. Gonna try using a sand bag propped against it and see if that helps. This sucker is really on there.
Well the other day I swooped up this Full Racing Beat RevII exhaust for a sweet 3 bills...
Before.. just a little dirty

After, shined up nice and perty...

Now I just gotta swap it on. Hopefully today or this weekend. Going to be nice and quiet. sleeper.

Bye bye breaker bar
Well, I'm going into town it seems to buy another breaker bar.
Seems my trusty Proto wasn't up to the task. This is one stubborn bitch! Check it out.
