Joe,
No, I havent been down to my garage yet but I am pretty sure that at least two of them are in good shape. I should be down there this weekend so I will let you know more then.

Yeah, I had too much stuff going on that weekend. So far the scheduling has been retarted; one on easter sunday (not that I care) and one on mothers day. Had to skip this one. I need new brake pads anyway.

Going to the race tommorow,be there early and leave drunk as hell.Ive been slacking lately on the cars. The 3rd gen has broke drivers door handle and lives most of its life in the garage, the vert has exhaust on but not fully mounted and a bad exhaust leak, needs 460 inj. put back in secondaries, and she'll be back on the road again. We need to get a cruise,or something going on!!!!!!!!!!

Hello!
Its nice to find people in your area with the same intrests, so thank god. I hate to interupt the flow of this thread but i have a perplexing problem. I own a 87 TII and just preformed the TB mod, Removed the "Rats" and did the TID mod. and short and sweet it runs like crap now. Everything is connected as far as i can see but the f'n thing will not run right. Rough idle, step on the gas and it bogs down, edge it up will bearly rev past 4k. I have been checking for leaks all over the place and can't seem to find any, i have removed the UIM like three times and still nothing....any help would be apriciated, i live in Richmond VA in the fan.

sounds like a really bad vacuum leak to me.Take a can of carb cleaner with the car running spray it all over the manifold, mainly where it bolts up and around the vacuum lines, the idle should pick up when its sprayed into the leak. This should give you a basic idea of where to look for the leak at.

thats exactly what i thought, but i have gone over the entire car with some cleaner and can't find anything. this is exactly what happens. I start the car, revs then cuts. I start it again and it nudge a little onn the throttle and eventually i can keep it going, rough idle about 700-900. I then step on the gas it bogs down and my A/F gauge goes negative fuel, what i mean by that is the gauge no longer reads anything, it goes bellow the last lean mark. I let off on the gas and it jumps up to high stoic. the back to below lean. if i floor it, it bogs down and then slowly and i mean slowly revs up will struggle to pass 4-5k, during this entire time A/F gauge reads below lean. so i am a little worried to run it. arrrrrggggg! stupid *** problem.

I would check the AFM plug, make sure its connected and disconnect it and reconnect it.sound like somethings not getting a signal that the car is recieving air.

Ground controls going in on Saturday, yay! Boost gauge and gauge pod need to hurry up and get here . Anyone up for short pump friday? I'm going for sure, and my friend with the silver WRX is coming (he's done a lot of work since the meet). I'll have the cam as usual, looking for footage.

Well i testes the AFM and it checked out set the TPS 1.1-4.4 they checked still would not run right, so i pulled off the UIM again, and checked the injectors, both secondarys where spraying for start up, put the whole thing back together and now it will start with a nice jump to 3000, then back down and nothing dies out. Well you can imagine i am a little peeved right now, any gas and the car bogs down and dies, i really have no freaking clue what to check next, I can't get the thing to idle worth a damn, so i can't check for any leaks. I am really frustrated. If anybody lives in the richmond area i would buy lunch, dinner whatever, lots a beer, i got a hot tub what ever, Help please!!!

Yup, I'll be up there this friday, anyone is welcome to come so long as they don't act like they're in highschool. The info is a few pages back, I don't know what more there'd be!

EDIT: It's not infront of Dicks, just near it. All you'd have to do is show up ~7:50-7:55p and you should see a line of nice cars that stick out parked near the back of the lot...then everyone migrates towards starbucks if the weather is nice, or into the food court if it's rainy out.

Changed out my tranny fluid and I'm now using synth instead of mineral, huge difference when cold, and noticeably better even warmed up. I was going to do the hydraulics last night too, but the clouds started rolling in...

It's all cool, as long as you don't come off as some asshat ricer, you'll do fine.

Oh and bring money for whatever, ESP IF WE GO OUT AFTER. Two or three weeks ago we ditched this one kid who ordered a meal and a drink then all of a sudden forgot he had no money. Beer is pricey enough.

grendel_2000 where abouts town do you live? I could stop by after work (VCU) tommorow and take a peek at the car.
