Brian,
I haven't corner weighted my car yet. We have a set of digital scales but the pads are for the karts, so they're not very big and I don't think they're rated for the weight of a car. I don't know where you can go.

Jacob,
Robin told me your having idle troubles and the compression is low, but I think it's a good idea to keep the car after all that work. If you decide to rebuild it, I can help you out with that. The rebuild kit is about $500. Talk to your brother first, of course, because your gonna need alot of help pulling that motor out.

Wilson,
Is this what your talking about?

There are a bunch of 10mm nuts holding it on along the top and the sides. You have to take out the lights too, of course, but then it slides right out. The rear is easier; all you have to do is pull the rear carpet back a little and pull out the spare tire and all the nuts are visible.

My AFM has been plastic side up for a couple years without any problems.

I'll do that. I'm still up in the air for what I'm going to be doing this weekend...I'm battling between staying home and trying to tackle the clutch job or go out to the parents boat...there's some girls a few slips down!

zack: yep thats it...only problem was I broke some of the moldings so I'm going to have to rake them off the silver car as well. Another problem, the paint peeled off when I took them off. So im left with bare metal. So yea, I need to get my car color checked so I can get some touch up paint. Also I was doing visual inspections and noticed rust forming on where the dents and dings are in my car. This of course means I'll be looking for summer employment. Another thing, I painted the tail ligts deep black and my god they look glorious. I was wondering is the color of my car Blaze red, and can a paint shop match my current color?

When I bought the paint for the trim job, the paint shop used a computer color match thing (technical term). They eyeballed the color to the closest sample the computer would recognize, and then used the CCMT to find the shade within the sample to match the color perfectly.

Soooo, anyone have a 54mm (2 1/8) socket just laying around?

NAPA wants well over $50 which is a joke.

Anyone know of any meets going on tonight? Any word on short pumpers meeting at the shop? Sometime in June we should all get together at GForce.

The rear (last picture) is cracked.

I hit a pothole on 64E just before Short Pump.

I checked out the wheel sight, but after fixing the bend ($75), repaint (clear)($50), welding the crack ($50), and shipping, I'm close to buying brand new.

Maybe if they were spinnin rims I'd get them fixed.

Bad news joe, Its been offically misplaced. Its what i get for leaving it up here. I actually have to buy another one, i am pretty sure that the size you need is the same size as the nut on the back tire of my motorcycle, sooooo i gotta get one. I am probally gonna hit up sears for that one, but as i remember it (been a long time since i needed to take my rear tire off) it was a 1 inch drive so i had to borrow a 1 inch drive ratchet from one of my friends....maybe there is an adapter, i am assuming you are using it with a 3/4 impact. let me know
