Sounds good about the car Dave.
It is sooo hard to keep my foot out of it. Especially when a VR-4 pulls up next to me and wants to race. It was so hard to keep from just dumping that clutch..!!
The guy that has the vert w/ the TII hood (Rick Getling) came over tonight to see my car run and decide if he would want us...well mostly zach, to rebuild a TII motor for him. He brought his 10AE and after driving mine, he said the boost on his comes on much faster than mine and the low end torque is much better. I have about 1300 miles on the engine so I am pretty sure the compression is about as good as it is going to get. My best guess is that with the streetported exhaust port, the exhaust gas velocity is slower since it is moving through a bigger space, thus making the turbo spool slower? Any ideas from the peanut gallery?
just so as to not scare zach, he stayed below 4000, he just said if he had been driving his TII the way he was driving mine, he would have had a lot of boost. I made sure that gauge did not move, trust me..

The more porting you do, the higher up the power curve goes. Also, chances are your A/F is not right, and that should increase your throttle response, wouldn't you say so Vert Dave?
Hurry up and get an ECU so we can rag the hell out of it.

Not too shabby if I don't say so myself. Too bad the national guys showed up in their beast MR-2. I'll have somethin for em next time now that my tires are broken in.
Michael, I thought you were in CSP?

DUDE, i couldnt believe that spyder was in your class
thats TOTALLY not fair. i guess it will be a long time before i get to the top of the ranking in csp, and im sure that motor will bump me up another class. all good though, im not really doing it for the places right now, i just think its fun as hell to be able to drive my car like that legally

once you get it tuned it should be much more what you were looking for. After i had the AFC tuned at rosen, that time i didnt really notice much more power, except at 5-6500 but the response was much better throughout.I will be ordering the streetport through kevin, but im still debating on asking about the 3mm seals.I dont want to have to replace another motor, and finding someone to tune it is starting to get very expensive. With the 3mm seals im figuring it should give me a little bit more cushion, just in case it does lean out for some reason after having it tuned.

ZAX RX7 update:
1-Installed a four point harness so I don't have to hold on anymore.
2-Finally build boxes to for my 8's that fit in the storage bin holes. Sounds great! They're completely concealed so the bad guys won't get any ideas. I'll have some pics up soon.
and this is funny as ****:

It looks like fun, and a pretty good deal for 39 bucks. I think I'll be there.

Motor is ordered as of tonight!!!!Wont be long now and ill be back on the road(a better one i hope than the first S/C road i took)If anyone needs some parts let me know,i will be driving to kevins shop to pick up the motor when its done, and im sure he has just about all the parts anyone would need.Hey zach how much are you charging to rebuild a NA motor?I need a daily driver and was thinking of gettting the 87 SE back on the road for it.The rear rotor has no compression, but the motor in the auto has good compression but bad oil seals.I gave the auto to my bro. and hes going to get a motor from kevin also.so i think the auto motor would be a better rebuild, and just let him buy a motor from kevin.
2,020 miles as of today!! Still have not taken it to redline though. Joe, have you recieved your microtech?? If so, hurry up and get it in!! I am trying to decide between that and a Haltech. You are going to be my guniea pig.
Sounds good about the motor Dave. Can't wait to have a forced induction shoot out..!!
