Update on me:

Got a drivers window and a nice vacuum from work, going to take off the door panel and vacuum out the glass. While I'm doing that, the tint that I put on the window should be setting (I'm going to extend the tint lower than the trim so I don't have to wait to roll the window down)...so I should be able to start driving my car again today.

Money:
Guy in NOVA is sending me a check for the damage to my rear 1/4 (~500), with the money that I saved from the window installation, the body shop will be able to buy me new carpet for the hatch and a new radio surround (I managed to make mine look fixed, only one small line in the rubber above the ashtray, so if anyone wants to give me 10 dollars for a S5 radio surround... ...granted it's got that one tear, but you'd have to stare at it to see it.)

All said and done I should make it up around 200 dollars (stereo and money for me being a good customer and all...). Time to start pondering what I am going to do with the turbo (it's making noise and not holding steady boost).

i was the only seven up there minus a second gen. i didnt see him run though. i went to talk to him and he said he just wanted to run because his mustang was in the shop. and he was waiting for the motor to blow because hes got a 427 waiting to go in.

i ran a 16.1, so i was pretty happy.

i have to tell you about this one guy's car tomorrow at the autox. its too much to type, but MAN o MAN!!!

Well, obviously I'm not at the auto-x.

I decided to pull the trans from my TR6 because it was grinding shifting into third gear. I got it out yesterday and I took it apart today; I need a new third gear. As soon as my car ia pulled apart, the weather turns beautiful. ahhhh....!

The race was a blast! Sorry I couldn't stick around though. I'll be able to hang out a little more at the next one. I get a little caught up when I'm racing, guess it's my game face. I'm trying to get used to the new tires too. The car drives completely different.
Michael, check the VMSC forum, there is a picture of you running.

well om registered for the next auto-x....im in either heat 3 or 4, i hope im category HS if, not....well then i need to change it. Also do they provide helmets. Well I don't expect to do well on this auto-x being my first time. Well, I've got to get some sleep, im changing the alternator and battery tommorow, and also installing the cruise control. Among other things, this week will be car maintenance week. I need brakes, a tune up, and a crap load of other things. I love my car but the maitenance hurts the wallet.

I think your in ES. Check the classing page on VMSC.org, you might find out there. I'll check my SCCA book and dbl check.
If the weather keeps up, we'll have to do a drive. All I did Saturday afternoon was drive around from downtown to a little rally racing in Goochland.

ATTENTION TO ALL ROTARY ROCKETS: never ever let me try and do repair work on my car EVER again. I have succeded in stripping the bolt to nothing. Well tommorow I'm going to take it someplace and see what the can do with it. Maybe I'll have better luck with the cruise control.

Video

If anyone has high speed internet or wants to wait, right click and save as for a pretty cool movie of the building of a renesis motor. I think it is 5 mb or so.

oh yea the good luck continues. The botl i had tried loosen while trying to remove my alternator snagged on my throttle. I redlined twice i think. I ended up having to turn the ignition off since there was a school bus, and ended up crossing iot up on the road. That was probably the second scariest moment of my life, the first being the redneck incident. Anyhoo after fixing it I just sat down and thanked a higher power.

well, it looks like its a 4 port 13b for me. the previous owner of my car bought a gsl-se with a running motor. i just have to go over there sometime next week to look at it so i can see it running and all that b/s. not sure if i want to carb it or not . i would like the power, but i wouldnt like the choking it, and freezing up in the winter and all that ****. who knows, i guess it depends if i can get a deal online or not on a manifold and carb. well see.

so ugh... yea...

Well heres my update, motor is out sitting in my shed floor.Im going to do some engine bay cleanup next weekend, yank AC off and uneeded smog BS.Then put it on the tow dolly and to the car wash for a good hose down before ordering my motor.Im going to order the streetport from kevin, then once i get my motor done ill be putting one in my brothers 87 which will be ordered through kevin also.I turned the motor ove and looked in the exhaust ports and it did some pretty healthy damage to the rotors, all 3 apex seals on both front and rear are damaged and the rotors are in bad shape.Ill be keeping it just to tear it apart and post pics of damage. We are going to a new schadule at work so ill have more time off to work on my car,but with summertime coming it'll be hard to stay away from the water and actually work on it.im goping to try and go to the next autox with my dads GTU and see how i do in a hardtop.til then yall keep the projects running(and rob keep foot out of TII)
