I am in cville, but I might be able to make it out to shortpump tonite. It would be nice to meet up with some other rotary owners and I would really like to see the microtech in person.

Thanks.

Im just kidding,i know a place but its,on the other side of the world.(a.k.a where i live)Its like $58 for a keg of bud light, and a $100 deposit for keg.
About that meet that would be cool but beings how i didnt get off work til 8:00 i guess i wont be there.Work sucks.I thought i blew the 3rd gen yesterday.I took a buddy for a ride, and went through 1st-3rd til about 130.Let off and went to hit it again and car wouldnt go just sputtered.I limped back to the house pulled in driveway and it was idling right rough at 100-500rpm.Started to tear up,so i got my buddy to start it while i listened under the hood.I heard a vaccum leak and started looking and found it was just the vaccum line off the boost sensor had blown off. What a relief that was.I had to celebrate with a cold silver bullet.(aka coors light)Well thats about my day, then back to work this morning, working for a living just plain outright sucks.
Hey mike if you want to meet for them wheels give me a call tommorow,i can meet you when i get off work, bout 8:15 p.m. at the east coast off route 1.

88 Vert: Thanks for the tip, I may have to look into it. We called that place in Chesterfield and they wanted $85 for a half keg of Miller Lite! $58 isnt' too bad, might have to check this place out for the next party.
brian: I know the feeling, except I need my car to get to work. I'm stuck on Falken Azenis tires
. I have to get a ride in my roommates camaro.

David, glad to hear it was something minor. Seems like if a vac. line is going to pop off on a FD it is going to be at the boost sensor, that happened to a friend of mine in Florida a few times as well. My brother and I got that door on his car yesterday, we still need to do some soldering to get the window to work, as soon as we do I will get that door handle off and ship it to you or drop it off.
I am beginning to wonder if keeping my 7 is worth it. Now my radiator is leaking in two places....when will it end....

Or me. :-p
I know how ya feel. My first gen is the same way, although I think I'm selling it come spring. Good luck. I'm definitely down for a meet if protegay's are allowed (******* FWD), and some gforce maybe

I'd be up as long as it isn't Feb 13-15 or tentavly March 6, I have... plans those weekends. Gforce sounds good. Not sure how bad I'd be, I can see it now, I crash into the first wall cause I can't drive. Anyhoo, I want to get my car up here, it works now, and dammit I'm jonesing for a drive.
Hey guys. I have been a long time owner of rx-7s and a semi-recent resident of Richmond (< 1.5 yrs). I was wondering how often/where you guys get together? I have a couple of friends who own Evos, Rx-8s, and Silvia conversions who get together every so often at the Short Pump Mall...
I have had a chance to meet a couple of you guys (Robin and Zach)...just curious where all the rotor heads hang out.

Howdy there Spencer!
I went to short pump last week, probably not going to make it this week...
What all do you have on the 10th? If you're who they were talking about, you have some nice RWHP #'s
Rob, what did you guys use to hold the flywheel when you all put your motor back together? I'm seeing what all I need to buy before I put the clutch in...I want to avoid what happened with the exhaust with running around at the last minute for parts/stuff.

Man, I don't even know where to begin. Racing beat DP and presilencer, HKS cat back, HKS intake, S5 turbo and manifold w/ an upgraded compressor (T04E?) wheel and clipped turbine, 720cc secondaries, walbro fuel pump, HKS FCD, ported throttle body, bonex street/strip clutch, Crane HI-6 Ignition, Turbo XS BOV, Tokico Illuminas, HKS springs, HKS front/rear pillow ball mounts, mazdaspeed engine mounts, FD wheels (powdercoated white
), 245 45 Falken FK451s. Oh and a Finish Line GLASS sunroof and wind deflector...

Joe, I don't think you need to hold the flywheel when you remove the clutch. The bolts that hold it on aren't very tight, and there is a little trick that keeps the flywheel from turning while you loosen them...
My tax return is lookin good fellas. I'm gonna do some shopping. I'm still considering the camber plates, you know, so I can win by even more this year.

There is a little problem though. If I were to get a set of these:

It might not fit well because I already have one of these:

I may have to chop up my tower bar to get the camber plates to fit. You have to cut the sheetmetal on the car to get it to fit:

And that sucks. But, I like the M'trix plates the best. It seems that it mounts the shock the highest, giving me a much needed extra inch of shock travel. It'll be nice having some camber in the front to help me out on those low speed tight corners, and I can lower the car a little more.

David, it seems as if it's every friday, everynow and then an eat and meet on Thursdays. Directions from down where you are:
85N to 95N to 64W to the Short Pump (250 Broad St.) West exit. Ride about 2 miles and there's the short pump mall, ride around to the Dick's sporting goods store and it's in one of the big lots next to it.
