Hey guys... Does anyone live relatively close to rockville that would be willing to sacrifice a parking space?

I found a really good deal on an FC so I bought it, but I have nowhere to put it.

Thanks!

edit: and it would only be for a couple weeks until I can do something with my other FC.

Relative as compared to what?

I'm relatively close as compared to Zimbabwe.

I also have a tow dolly, if this guy from eBay emails me back. It's up in Jessup.

Well it's in Fairfax VA right now... and it's a fight through traffic anytime I want to work on it. Not to mention it's taking up space in this lady's driveway. I mean... they sold the car and now she still has to see it... I kinda feel bad. But yeah, my main objective is to get it out of that person's driveway. My second objective is getting it somewhere close to rockville so I can work on it easier.

So I take it I'm not the first to buy an rx7 without making space first huh?

I wonder if Jon would have a problem with it going there temporarily...

Take the legal plate off the front of your Caprice and put it on the back of your 7...

MD cars dont have inspection stickers IIRC... What about county tax decals?

As soon as I get a tow dolly, I can put it on my street and move it once a day or every couple of days, so it looks like someone drives it... Till you find a space.

DO NOT take the plate from the front of anything and put it on that 7... and DO NOT drive it anywhere without insuring it. It's like asking to have your car impounded. Ask Brandon....

They'll see illegal plates on the back (no registration stickers on them) and pull you over for that, then they'll find out the car isn't registered, and they'll ask if you have insurance... and possibly check for themselves.

Once they find out you don't, out goes the car to the impound, and you're walking home, that is if they don't throw you in jail for the night... And then you get a mandatory court appearance... and that's never fun.

MD cars don't have taxes on them... except sales tax when you buy them, and they don't have inspection stickers either, b/c they're only inspected whenever someone buys them...

Don't do it, kids....

And when you miss that court date, you get to spend a "lovely" night in the pokey after an escort in the back of a cruiser with "silver restraints"....

You are not getting the point. You are racing a bike that has the same power output as your car and weights 500-600 pounds with the rider. You weight 3000. Its not going to matter what speed you run from. If you want to race your car try getting into a scca race where its designed around the skill of the driver not the rwhp. Not to mention your NA runs a 17 second quarter mile. If you don't believe me take it to buds creek and see.

Yeah, I was gonna say something about that... but I decided to let someone else try to do it a bit more nicely...

I know better than trying to drive a car with no stickers. Cops aren't that dumb... Although.... I wonder how much storage costs in an impound lot compared to storage fees at my self-storage place... hehe...

I'm thinking I can probably get away with parking it at my work... the guy next door does body work so there are always random cars coming and going. Nobody would even notice probably.

Now I just gotta get off my rear and go replace the fuel pump. Hopefully it'll run after that.

Well, Ken had my story a bit wrong... I at least had valid tags on it when my car got yanked... they just didn't like my "Toyota" tags being on a Nissan... even if they were from a Honda originally...

I had valid tags on mine too, but they pulled me over anyway... I think it was my headlights that did it... then he ran the tags, then he decided to pull me over...

Before he ran the tags I don't think I was going to get pulled over...

I was under the impression that it's broken and wouldnt be driving anywhere... I'd just push it down a few spaces every few days so that it doesn't look abandoned.

I don't think a cop would check a car that's just kinda sitting there parked on the side of the road legally... Hell, they left a wreck sitting there by the side of my apartment complex for several months. An Impala with broken out front window, parked two and a half feet from the curb with no front bumper and no plates or stickers anywhere on the vehicle was here for at least a week without being distrubed.

Well it is techincally broken now.... but I'm hoping to fix that by replacing the fuel pump. If that doesn't fix it, I'll be at least temporarily stumped. If that does fix it, I'll be very afraid to drive it all the way back home on illegal tags... But since a friend of mine has a trailer, I plan to do that to save the trouble.

That's the best bet...

But when limited options, you have... Turn to the dark side you must.
