well just to give you guys a update we should have CF windows switches by June 1st. Now I am working on a ashtray cover. You cannot replace the FC ashtray cover because it uses a spring system which pisses me off. So we are making a cover for it now. Superglue should hold it on for life. Thanks to YF-19 for having a junkyard of Fc parts for me to use

I wouldn't get less than a WRX if I was going to go for a subaru (those are good cars, except that they still have the RS's tranny)

hey, you know what? i'll get one if you pay for it, and pay the insurance. otherwise, i'm sticking with what i can afford. insurance for me is RIDICULOUS compared to my budget if i were to get a WRX(or anything with a stock turbo, for that matter...)...and the purchase price is way out of my league. i have to work for everything i have, and i don't shoot higher than what i can reasonably afford. i won't take out a loan or sell an ovary if i don't have to...and since someone's offering me a sizeable amount for the corolla(since that's my ONLY registered vehicle, that should tell you something...), i won't have much left to pay for if i were to get an RS from those years listed.

i know what they're capable of, and i know they're "slow" in the eyes of the masses, but i don't give two *****. i want something that's more fun than the corolla, and would still make a good daily driver...not something that's going to rape my wallet so much that i regret it 6 months after buying it. thanks for your concern on it being "slow" but i am not looking for speed. besides, ANYTHING currently out on the market right now is faster than my car. ANYTHING.

don't worry, should i keep the car for more than a couple of years that's a possibility...but this is destined to be a daily driver for now...and it'll actually help me get out of my parents' court if the snow actually gets bad this winter.

I could always use more cash. I'm sure there's an unseen downfall here though.

EDIT: After slightly more pondering, I have one major question... Who the hell would want it and for what reason? Who, in their right mind buys a used ********?

I then pictured a used ******** salesman... Polyester suit, slicked back hair, or better yet, no hair at all as he'll look like what he's selling...

What would his sales pitch be like? "This one was owned by a little old lady, so it was never abused in any way and well taken care of... This one's a little rough, but it's very reliable... This one's large, you can fit lots of stuff in it."

Would they be out in a parking lot or like in little jars of formaldehyde or something... Or maybe hanging from the inside of his trench coat, and you buy em in a dark alley in NYC.

Was it "Icesickkle" that said they knew too much about me? Wrong... NOW you know too much about me...

I think John Hopkins or something pays $200 for sperm donation... At least I've heard...

One more great thing about being a guy. Get paid for something that I do for fun anyhow? Sure I'm down.

I guess I can retract my statement when I told my parents to never expect any grand children. Just they should expect me to know where my children are or who the mother is... (It's not like I would if I were the actual parental father anyhow. I can't count the times I've been like, "Mom, Dad... I'd like you to meet... *nudge* What's your name again?")

What can I say? I aim to please.

Yeah... But you can't beat it or have sex for like a week before you go in to donate.

The second part is covered by nature. I dunno if $200 is worth dropping the first part thought.

And that's if you pass all the medical exams and can find 4 generations old medical history on your family.

I wasn't really saying "you have to get a WRX," I was saying think it through a bit more, because I'm sure you can find other cars for the same price that will give you the same amount of fun and are faster. None of them are AWD though.

I have to work for everything I have as well, I've lived on my own with no help from anyone since I was 17, and I'm 25 now. I may have a good job now, but I didn't always. And I had to pay for and am still paying for my college education... damned stafford loans.

i know what they're capable of, and i know they're "slow" in the eyes of the masses, but i don't give two *****. i want something that's more fun than the corolla, and would still make a good daily driver...not something that's going to rape my wallet so much that i regret it 6 months after buying it. thanks for your concern on it being "slow" but i am not looking for speed. besides, ANYTHING currently out on the market right now is faster than my car. Yeah, the 'rolla's are kinda slow, I should know, I have the same engine in my daily driver (1zz-fe) . Mine's a little updated so the low-end is better, but yeah, it's no sports car... it does get great gas mileage though (32 mpg on mostly pissed-off city driving last tank) which is why I got it... as a commuter/transport big stuff car. (for those who don't know, it's a pontiac vibe.) I have the hachi to mess with and up the power and all that, and eventually I may have a working 7 as well, as I really like the engine once you get rid of all the trash from it (rat's nest, AFM, stock MAP sensor mostly).

yours gets great gas mileage...mine has an issue where i get MAYBE 20mpg if i'm lucky. i don't have the time or money to take it in to look at it, and i don't have the tools to fix it myself...the nearly-broken tie rod end stops me from driving too far to get it fixed. therefore, i want the stupid thing gone.

the crappy job i have right now prevents me from spending much to get a decent car(and lets not mention school...i can't afford that right now either)...and i need something that i can convince my parents is a worthwhile investment...because the corolla's in their name. if it's RWD there's no way in hell they'll turn over the title of the corolla, because "rwd isn't safe" - NEVERMIND the fact that i paid for the corolla IN FULL, it's still in their name, and therefore it's their decision. the legacy is something they'd be fine with, as long as it's not TOO old...the age range i listed is something they'd be fine with.

i've also taken into consideration insurance payments...it has to be a commuter type car, or my insurance WILL rape me(1 at-fault accident that damaged 2 cars and totalled mine, as well as sent me to the hospital).

if it were TRULY up to me, i'd take that $7k, buy another Z24 5spd(but this time it would be a convertible) and make it fast as hell...with that kind of a budget i'd be in a pretty freakin nice car, with a very nice insurance payment. before you ask why a Z24, i loved the one i had. it was fast enough for me to have fun without killing myself(200hp is plenty...), had minor work donw, and looked like an absolute shitbox...so no one would really hurt it(save for the guy who recognized the wheels in the back as ICWs, i guess...). however, my parents don't like the fact that it was old(1991) and a domestic...for some reason they're biased against domestics, yet we own a Windstar.

i could go into the strange dynamic in my family regarding vehicles, but i think it would nauseate you. suffice it to say this IS the best option out there for me right now.

One or both of your 2 O2 sensors are probably broken. Not that cheap to fix but easy.

The car that I slept in for a week on winter break my freshmen year of college when they threw us out of the dorms was a 1983 buick regal... with a crack in the block.... I paid $600 for that car... so I have to say I know where you're coming from on the crappy job and paying for school... I was pay ing for it using stafford loans and my pocket... and it showed.

i've also taken into consideration insurance payments...it has to be a commuter type car, or my insurance WILL rape me(1 at-fault accident that damaged 2 cars and totalled mine, as well as sent me to the hospital).
Understandable, my insurance raped me because I bent the hood of my old car... and had one speeding ticket... my insurance went up by about $500 per year because of the accident and ticket... it was $2200 per year for a couple years.

Domestics have a bad rep from the '80's because in the '80's they sucked and broke down all the time while the Japanese cars didn't... A lot of people have trouble getting out of that mindset it seems. I've personally not had problems with a domestic after my buick, and all I've owned is domestics because my step-father is a service manager at a GM dealer... I owned a '91 grand-am, 2001 alero, and now the 2005 vibe... (the vibe doesn't really count, it's a toyota more or less). Now Julian and I have the hachi, and a broken rx7... so those are the first and only japanese brands I've ever owned. (We bought those together to make modding them cheaper).
