My mother owns a townhouse in an area called Del-Ray. It's just north of Old Town Alexandria, Just south of Crystal City... A few houses down from her a house was sold. It was on the market for 6 hours.

The buyers asked the real estate agent if they could have an inspector come in and check out the foundation, HVAC, plumbing, etc... You know, standard **** you do when buying a house.

The real estate agent told them to leave, there's three other contracts waiting on the house, they'd rather sell to someone less of a hassle.

1000 Sq ft, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, semi-finished basement, 70 yr old brick townhouse with substandard electrical work (No ground pin on any outlets, no GFI in the bathroom and kitchen) sold for 350K... And they're still scraping the old owner's cigarette tar off the walls.

Push just south into Prince William County and the same cash will buy a single family home twice the size. With actual LAND... Granted it's just shy of a quarter acre, but it'll be big enough to build a garage.

Jason's 'vert will make it to the meet! Stock ignition worked FIRST TRY with megasquirt... it actually started in like half a second the first time I tried to start it.

I can post the settings I used in the megasquirt to get the stock CAS with stock leading working if anyone is interested. Stock trailing is waiting on a code update from the guy who writes the MSnS extra firmware.

awesome!, I'm guessing the hatchi isn't going to make it if you've been working on jasons car all weekend

I'll see you guys in a couple hours, and jason, I want a ride in your car maybe I'll ride to erik's with you if you're still coming.

Well, I haven't been working on jason's car ALL weekend... but yeah, the hachi didn't get its new suspension yet b/c we're waiting on a bolt from technotoytuning, and Julian had something come up that he couldn't get out of yesterday. So the hachi will get its new suspension next weekend... and maybe by the next meet it'll have the 20 valve 4age in it... (then I'll be able to rev as high as jason )

Figured out the problem we were having with jason's car on the way to the meet. I was dumb and wrapped one of the old wires from the old ignition system directly around the spark-plug wires.... That's about the best way I can think of to introduce EMI into the megasquirt circuits... DOH!!

I'm glad it was something stupid though.

I'm glad to hear it was something simple... I was worried for jason. Nothing like an intermittent problem to ruin your day.

Oh... btw... sorry for getting us lost guys. Next time I'll actually read the directions myself just to double check.

yeah, I also just removed the last remnants of jason's old tach circuit from the megasquirt board... so there shouldn't be anything left that can cause his tach signal to go haywire... we'll see tomorrow :P:

Don't worry bout getting lost, Jason and I were both just very frustrated...

The car actually ran pretty well the whole way home, and that was WITH the offending wire wrapped around the spark plug wires... only one stall that time... and the rest of the way home it ran nicely... now we just have to get the advance set right.

so are you just going to be running the turbo engine with no turbo? when is it going to be a turbo again?

yes...im running the turbo block on a fully N/A setup (only differences between the 2 are....i lose 0.2:1 compression but i gain oil injectors in the cylinders as well as the oil passages for the turbo)

i'm going to get the turbo rebuilt/upgraded to a 58/60 trim compressor wheel, get entire turbo exhaust system and all the piping intercooler for the intake track and prob do a massive turbo build up at the same time. so it'll depend on money. cheapest it would cost me would still be close to 2 grand. and setup im looking at would be much more efficient and would run 3-4 grand. just gonna buy a piece here and there till i get enough to put it on. will lead to slightly over a 2x jump in power when i do it too.

this is aside from other ideas like the MS ECU or CO2 freezer system.

but in mean time....getting it running, followed by exterior detail (trim and painting) followed by interior are my main priorities. i'll fit power upgrades in there as they fit.
