your TB plates might not be closing all the way too.

I'll check that tomorrow. Thanks!
well after all the wiring was checked on the haltech it still would not fire last night. We have good spark, plugs are good, and we are getting very little fuel inner but just won't kick over. Damn e6X should of bought a used e6K
Yeh, you should have gotten an E6K. I've not heard good things about the E6X, since mike told me about them and all.
I've officially moved in to college park
Don't knock it, thats VERY useful, and saves an incredable amount of time.

Well.. right now it seems the main thing is what to put in the shop once we find one.. right?.. Then have to find out how much the shop costs.. and the tools we need costs.. and good places to get them..

I should have got a microtech with the heads up display so you don't have to carry a laptop with you. Went with haltech because I thought it would simplify things but that did not go as planned
As far as the shop goes, I started running numbers and stuff about a year ago to start a shop. I've run a business before that isn't doing to shabby now days. So I could do alot of the paperwerk and legistics along with werking on the cars. And I got Audi and VW covered like a jimmy hat!
Is anything off topic in this thread? I think I just figured out why mazda made the redline on the FC so low... even though mechanically it could've been higher.
Their single leading wasted spark coil hits too high of a duty cycle if the dwell is set to something that'll create good sparks. I'm hoping that with the megasquirt, a dwell of 2.5 ms will work alright, b/c that'll allow jason to go to 8500 rpms with a duty cycle of about 85% (with a max spark discharge of .5 ms). Does anyone know if the stock leading coil on an FC will produce a decent spark with a dwell of 2.5 ms?

Since the crane cams unit does dwell for you, worst case we can just wait till that is in before we rev that high... but I was hoping to tune to where he wants to rev before putting in the crane cams (and we can't rev that high yet anyway until he gets his electric air-pump setup done so we can open the aux ports and actuate the vdi).
EDIT: just did some research, and it looks like the hi-6/fireball can control jason's lx92 coils in parallel.. so I guess we'll switch to those after we get the fuel tuned, and aux/vdi set up
