My car was towed off to the tranny shop this morning...
Hopefully with the description I gave to the tranny dude, he can fix the problem correctly.
Anyways.
There goes another few K down the drain.

******* shop didn't repair the problem the first time... Because only now I find out that the shop I had taken the car to, misdiagnosed the problem with my full explanation (they prolly were like "kid doesn't know what the **** he is talking about") and wasted 3k.
I explained the problem to the transmission shop dude and he said "oh, sounds like a hydraulic problem, that shouldn't take too long to fix, we'll call this afternoon"

Dude called back just now... It'll be $250 + labor and fluids... so I'm looking at around $300 worth of work.
the clutch hydraulics went out.
anyways...
Tofu: I don't have time to work on my car or a place where I know I can get big jobs done without having to break the job up into smaller driveable segments.
Plus, if the shop screws up, you can sue them. If you screw up, you can only lose money.
BTW: I plan on getting my $3000 back and talking to the BBB about the shop I originally had work on my car.

Next time I show up at a repair shop with my diagnosis I'm showing up in full race gear. Maybe then they will actually listen to me.

edit: i know i look like a pissant kid who thinks he knows everything, it's been explained to me many times, i just need to figure out a method of delivery that lets people realize that sometimes i really do know about what i'm talking

next time you get pwned by a mechanic....ask them to explain EXACTLY what they did to the car and to show you if thats possible. (my old mechanic would keep and show me the broken part if i wanted them too.)
