came with:
Custom detonated rear rotor with no seals for less friction.
Fuel level sender = b0rken
Warped front rotors
Loose passenger wheel hub

So far
700 car
850 RB turbo back
160 Banzai racing TID
40 Cone filter
1875 Ported s5 motor installed with warranty (rotary aviation seals)
800 Good Jspec motor with zero wear on housings
45 MD state inspection
20 Rotors turned
65 Racing beat end links
300 Koyo Radiator
200 Black magic e-fan

You can't buy a k&n filter for less then 40. You can buy a foam peice of **** for 10 dollars that will eventually fall apart and get sucked into the motor .

You get what you pay for.

you mean that cheap *** filter that disintegrates and clogs yer intake and doesnt filter to save its life?

buy a K&N or an A'pexi and get it over with

K&N: blast some of the oil off if yer worried about the oil sticking to yer AFM but theyre washable and reusable
A'pexi: dry filters but you have to buy whole replacements when they get dirty

37 for my K&N but its the drop in filter..not the cone
cones run for around 100-130 depending on what deals you can scratch up but usually leans towards the 130

You can get a brand new k&n 3inch cone filter from a guy on ebay for 48 shipped IIRC. I got mine off of some jeep parts guy.

Mine didn't disintegrate or clog up anything at all... it worked quite well, actually...

Then again, it's not like I got to drive it around much to get the filter anywhere near that point...

theyre not designed to be washed. if you read the instructions..it says to discard and buy a new filter element when it gets too dirt (note that this is just the filter element...not the plastic end pieces.)

and for reference...ive had a K&N in my truck for YEARS without anything close to that "Oil clogging the AFM" issue. but that might be based more off the honeycomb style AFM instead of the flapdoor AFM (which i have)

also the Apexi got a SLIGHTLY higher filter rating than the K&N but the K&N box actually states that full filtering wont happen till it gets a LITTLE dirty first as it uses the initial layer to help filter. I'll see if i can find the site that had it...they put it up against the blue and green bubble foam filters that did absolutely NOTHING (K&N actually makes a sleeve for the cone that is made of foam to help filter out the bigger chunks to help save the main cotton filter)

the oil doesn't clog the afm... it gets on the sensor and messes up the readings.

AFMs are bad to begin with...hence why im going MAFT on the supra. can run it post turbo and dont need to compensate for open air BOV
