I am not going to make it to the one in March....all my weekends are dedicated to studying for the PE exam through April 12. After that I am open, so I plan on going to pretty much all of them after that.

Anyone interested in doing the TrackDaze event at Summit Shenandoah on May 18-19? I'm targeting that date to get the car finished. Open to other ideas as well.

I would love to go. I just fixed the corolla's BMC a few weeks ago, so if the 7 isn't ready, I can bring that.

It doesn't look like I have anything planned for that weekend for once... and I haven't been on Shenandoah yet.

Mike, at least they will rub less then the previous set of tires

Moneymaker, PM afgolden. He had an auto FD that was still running for around $5k locally. You could make money on it easy by dong a manual swap and fixing it up a bit. If it is still available... (If you get it, I'll even buy the Auto gauge cluster and some other Auto parts from you once they are off the car.)

Wes, are you ready for March 16th/17th then?
Thanks, man. I will let you know.

I still need to finish the rear end on mine, but I'd like to get on track sooner rather then later. If it comes down to it, I'll just do the bearings myself and deal with the open diff.

This does coincide with a CDC event at Harry Grove though so I'd rather do a different day if Mike is free too.

I'm in the advance group these days, I'll probably want an instructor my first run out to familiarize myself with the new track and car... but after that you're welcome to hop in.

You'll need an instructor for at least your first few track days unless they solo you later in the weekend.

Mike, in lieu of an instructor if you want we can do some lead/follow for as many laps as you want to learn *a* line. There are as many lines at Shen as there are instructors :P

Ian, always happy to have passengers ride along but TD's rule (last I was there) is the first couple sessions (before noon) are solo. Passengers in the PM are fine.

Rocky, there are only two TD events at Summit Shen this year; one in the spring and one in the fall. There's also a July event on Summit Main. If you guys want to do a different event with another club that's fine with me but I'm a big fan of how TD runs their events vs. some of the other guys I've run with (NASA, SVT, Mazda, Mercedes, TT4C, etc.) Though I will say this, NASA has a great instructional program and there's never a dull moment because in between sessions there are club races. You just get less track time because of it.

I have been doing good. Just trying to finish up school. I came home 2 weekends ago to try to start it but we ran into issues. The car was not getting any spark and we ended up figuring out the coils were wired incorrectly. We were still having some issues after that so I called it a weekend. Hopefully we will make some progress over spring break.

If I can't run the Rx7 during the event I can see if I can run the 280z but I have high hope that it will be ready at that point.

You probably already know, but if you're looking to drift around here check out www. Slidewaysonline.com. It's the local drift forum and has the most information about Drift Nirvana at summit point.

I've been collecting parts to start a build on my FC for drifting, I'm finally in the middle of buying a house with a garage so I'm gong to be busy putting my car together this summer until I run out of money.

I look forward to meeting you man.

Molotov,

I was messing with Yoshi, Clayton, and the Slideways crew back in 06 when i had an S14 and was a very poor college dropout haha. those guys are pretty cool, and yea i already have a decent idea of the drift scene on this coast.

Found out one part of my oil leak, my front seal behind my crankshaft pulley decided it would rather slide inside the motor than stay in its place. New one will be here in the morning. Then seeing if any other issues pop up.

My build thread is in the drifting section if yall wanna check out my money pit.

This really doesn't do justice to how loud the car was but we finally got my car running.

Little bit better sound on this video. Idk if you will be able to see it though.
