yeah not to mention the beam pattern and light output sucked ballz

Many people commented on the FD lights say its like night and day... well, literally it looks like daytime with these lights on. We had a few cars at DGRR last weekend running the sakebomb lights... you really got to see them in person to appreciate:

Statique, add your name to the appropriate list if you are interested... I dont know what kind of car you have.

It's possible, but we need to make sure to at least break even on the backing molds + parts + labor etc. If we did 8 sets and called it a day, it just wouldnt be worth all the time to set up for and build a completely different style light, and risk possibly being in the negative... and we can all agree that raising prices would blow for you guys and us as well. If we can just get more people in on it then i feel a little more comfortable going ahead with it...

Sounds good man. I agree completely with all the points you raised. Hopefully with a little more time we will pick up a few more buyers Thanks

Since the FB guys are only up to 8 out of 15, I would highly suggest spreading the word to the RX7's younger sibling, better known as the Miata community. As we all know, the NA Miata also uses 6024 headlights and would be 'packaged' similarly to the SA22C/FB

Also, it might just be me, but doesn't this look almost identical? http://www.sporttuner.com/Electrical.html

Should it be a different group, it might be worthwhile getting ahold of them and combining forces. Chances are that they have some FB guys interested in them too, which would probably put you over the 15 needed to get things going.

If it is SakeBomb Garage there too, could an admin please add this link at the beginning of the thread, to help prevent misinformation and people buying the same things twice?

Thanks for the advice! It is probably a good idea to get the miata guys involved. I still think we could find the fb guys here but this thread is listed under "fdnewbie Imports" so I don't think they are seeing this thread. I don't know how to advertise it in the first gen forums without violating the rules???

We'll we wont be using $90 ebay projectors to start, and I'd like to think they would end up looking aesthetically much nicer. If you havent seen the comparison pictures between those projectors and the fx projectors its a HUGE difference with brightness and beam width. The ebay projectors have a sharp cutoff... but other than that the optics really suck. The miata and the FB both share the same housing and I've got a miata myself and am on miata.net (but havent started a business/GB account there). I'm planning on getting that going, but first I have to verify the buckets, mounting hardware, and clearance dimensions are either the same or similar enought to the miata. If we do miata lights we will be including longer mounting bolts to replace the stock bolts.

Well if a local guy is willing to test fit the prototypes and take pictures/review them FB section that would work. At that point I think it would be within the rules to add a link to the group-buy. If a local guy is willing to do this, id want to insist that it would be a totally fair and unbiassed 3rd party review... no omitting any negatives on our part and no influence from us . I was talking with one FB guy a while back about this but never heard back from him.
