word? i tried hitting one up out here and they said they couldnt do anything with aluminum radiators. i thought it seemed stupid like they were just trying to collect on building a new one for moneys. im going to take it out tonight and go get some quotes.

thanks for all the replies guys.

the 3rd round of pro-ams is 12days away. my goal is to make top 5 in points from where im at right now (awesome ZERO lol) but my car needs a ton of love... im going to stay up tonight and try to get it all sorted. gotta pull my intakes/turbo off and reseal my rear water passage so i can delete the water line to the turbo. im so burnt out... i spent all day working on another FC for a friend. drift life = taxing.

Prepping my car for Vegas Pro-Am Rnd 3.
Working all day on customer cars, now working all night on my personal cars gets pretty old fast that's for sure.

I have to order/buy tomorrow:
S4 TurboII Lower Intake Manifold Gasket
18mmx1.5 -10an Fitting for my rear iron
2x 45* -10 hose ends
2x 90* -10 hose ends
Aluminum for more ducting
Aluminum or Thin Sheet Metal to Firewall my rear end off from the cabin.

Also have to take my radiator to a Radiator shop to get tested, and probably buy a new one then get everything remade for my vmount... super gay.

Going to be an Awesome $500 minimum day before having to drop some money on new tires. fml...

I am looking at your rad set up and am thinking maybe you are not getting all of the air out of it and you are suffering from cavitation.

You must have some issues then. My car has some low flowing rad fan, no hood, no undertray, and a koyo. It stays below 171, and that is on a 95* day.

seriously thats where i was at too. that is alot of water to be pushed... i drained it fully, removed it, and there is still water inside it so im really thinking it is clogged up too but the cavitation thing is probably 80% of it.

does anyone know how the water flows through the radiator hoses? it goes from the bottom down to the radiator (from the lower hose) and then through the radiator back up into the top filler neck and back down? im guessing because of the way the pulleys spin. there's no way the waterpump can move this much water

Picked up an FD Koyo N-Flow Radiator thanks to Matt Dale for giving me a good price.

Ordered the -an fittings to finish my oil coolers. going to get aluminum and make shrouding for the baller E-Fan i'm running. I hope this solves my cooling issues for the rest of the summer atleast. Gotta drop it off @ DDS Performance to make some mounts, and flip the water inlets around for my V-Mount.

Going to be a long few nights banging this car's brains out to get it ready for battle. Someone better T-bone one of my doors out following me like Naoki. Fingers crossed hoping this will be a good event putting the car through its paces hard.

If only I knew sooner..... I'm trying to use my Koyo for my V8 setup, but it's already built for V-mount in an FC. I woulda sold it and bought a C&R. I do still want to save some change and see if I can use it though. Any opinions on a 13b Radiator cooling an LS?

if it can keep your rotary cool why wouldnt it keep an LSx cool?
they're pretty much identical heat wise. run it, and get it reworked. idk much about V8's im sure Speedway motors has universal cores for little money you could buy and make work. i was going to do that but i got this Koyo locally for a pretty good deal so i'm gonna give it a shot.

it comes out of the water pump then into the radiator

I got my Koyo Radiator back from DDS Performance today. Awesome turn around time exactly as quoted.

Just waiting for Mazdatrix to deliver my intake gasket so i can start throwing the intakes, and turbo back on. hopefully by tomorrow it will be here so i can get it running.

well not now lol. it's tag'd on the box. either way idc. it's new shiny, and i'm only $160 invested.

i too thought the FD ones were skinnier and wider, but idk, it must be a new version or mislabeled

@Jlowe you're right its an S5 one come to find out.

Put in some work. helped a friend get his fc together a little bit, and now focusing on mine some. FC's are going to be hot fire this event thats for sure!

Installed my Sunroof, and made removable brackets/tray for it to sit in like factory, yet unbolt with the 4 factory studs/nuts. Gotta step my tech game up! Plus i'm not trying to lose an arm from getting buck wild.

paid wayyy too much for a sheet of Aluminum @ Lowes to Make misc ducting. Meets tech requirements of .040 from what i've found so i gotta finish that up and go over the car with a tech sheet to make sure i'm not slippin'!

Mounted my fan (for now) without shrouding since i dont have a tig to make decent shrouding. either way should be better than my old setup.

...and in the midst of it all i decided to stop being a bitch and throw on my 35r to suck up into some cars and finally be able to have some real fun. Wastegate, and china manifold should be here tuesday or weds so i can bolt it all up then i just need to get the downpipe made up. this will be a plasma cutter for sure.

How are your oil temps? I'm considering a similar setup. I've seen some dual setups that I really like. It would be nice to just use one though.

No I'm an intern at Superior Racing Development, I'm gonna go out with the driver Joel who has a silver 350z that's got SRD on the side. Good guy definitely, but it's gonna be hard not to route for an FC brotha!

Mounted my Vmount brackets a little differently to get more airflow to the radiator since last setup was angled more towards intercooler cooling so the radiator had a gangster lean going.
(don't worry, that's not full lock)

Tires stock piled waiting to be burned.

Car will be running in the AM as soon as i can start it. I'm feeling good, and ready to rock. Let's do this!
