I stopped by the shop today and took a few more pics. This time with the hood down(but not closed). The headlight covers are also not mounted, they are just laying on top of the assemblies.

Pics of rear tail light areas for siguy2k:

Wet sanding hasn't started yet. I'm told it will be wet sanded tomorrow and buffed up next week. There will be no orange peel on this car.

Interior & top shop is all lined up. The day the car is done at the body shop it will be towed off to get the carpeting put in, a new custom top made & installed and the seats will be fitted.

I will be stopping by the body shop again tomorrow.

The paint looks phenomenal so far. It looks like they blocked that thing to perfection.

On a side note, you SHOULD look into having some inner fender liners made up to protect the paint (and reduce pinging noises from rocks etc.). The liners will protect the fenders from rocks being thrown into them from the tires and creating "stars" in the paint from the underside.
Also, "Clear Armor" or similiar products to 3M type paint guard adhesive systems should be looked into to protect that beauty, particularly on all the leading edges and especially those behind the front flares (such as the leading edge of the rear flare).

Also, while I was up picking up another widebody kit, I showed Mike (the guy who actually makes the flares) the pictures of your car and he was very impressed with how it looks so far.

Cool. I really like white or silver on widebodies... Your car looks clean as crap.. I hate seeing it without the wheels on it though... cant wait to see it done.

I see how it is, everyone gets their pictures but I can't get a good shot of a single wheel of yours temp-mounted.

You have been warned .......

The amount of prep work that went into this thing is unreal man. Every time I thought they were ready to paint there was more prep work to do.

The body shop owner suggested I look into some inner fender liners. Problem is finding something in the right size is just not gonna happen. So I'll probably have to grab some plastic inner fender liners for a truck\suv or something and hack some up and combine them until I have the right size & shape. I also spoke with him about your Helicopter tape idea. He knows a pro that applies the 3m stuff. So I'll be taking a look into that. Won't be done till at least a month or two after paint though.

If the car is running at that point, it will be there!

Hauling the wheels to the body shop to throw them on for a couple pictures isn't a priority at the moment. There's no engine in the car and it is no longer up on jack stands and will not be on jack stands again at the body shop so putting those wheels on it would make it ALOT harder to push around the shop. The only times the wheels were mounted was unfortunately when the car was in a section of the shop where there wasn't enough room to step back and get a good shot of the wheels on the car. As soon as the interior & top shop is done the car will be towed over to A-spec, once she's back on a lift I'll toss the wheels on with the Tein Flex coilovers and get some much better pics.

I've seen some guys use truck bed spray-on liners under the fenders of their hotrods for protection.

*and I don't mean the mediocre stuff you can buy and apply yourself, the ones you have to go to a certified facility to get put on.

It helps, but it'll still "starburst" just from the impact/flexing.

Looks badass Juiceh, real badass.

Hope she's up and going (and continues to go ) for a long, long time - enjoy the looks you'll get and the blondes asking for a ride in your Lambo

The first trailer I tried to load it on was not wide enough. The next attempt worked but it was a flat-bed tow-truck

btw, I love the fact it is so wide that the car reflects itself under the right angles

Not true, actually if you get the right stuff put on the bed liner stuff specifically RHINO LINER is almost 1/3 of an inch thick, there should be no way any small rock could thrust through 1/3 of an inch to spider the backside of those fenders, I throw boulders in the back of my truck and looking underneath at the bottom of the bed there isnt so much as a dent in my bed much less any cracks or anything.

you might need to make the inner fenders with metal then coat it in like lizard skin(the spray stuff) and put those in.

The plan right now is to get some ford\dodge pickup dualie rear plastic inner fender liners and work with those. The size of the dualie liners may be just about the right size. The inside of the fenders have already been sprayed with bedliner for some protection. But for street use I think these plastic liners will be the best way to go.

Wet sanding today:

Ok, now I said before there were some things I've been holding back on. Here is one:

Can you figure out what it is?

Oh, BTW, not all of that reflective **** on the wing is the metallic flake in the paint. Theres allot of dust on it.

man dont put wheel wells!!! If you do, you are killing the benefits of widebody if your going to limit the size with those. Means you cant tuck rim. Dont listen to what all the people here say, remember your probably the first person here with that extreme of a build up I couldnt take advice from people who rock stockers

he already had wheels and tires so im sure whatever innerfender you puts in will clear what he has. and if he wanted he could remove the inner fender.
