Stopped by the shop today...

Front bumper and lip are done.
Now before they can get it off the lift and roll it to the back of the shop again the lip is getting a spray of the body undercoating on its underside and the tank has to be coated and remounted. Both of which were being started while I was there around 2:30pm so they are probably done now. SO the car will shortly be rolled back to the paint area where it will get blocked and eventually painted.
Meanwhile, a few more parts showed up.
Seat Rails:

Aluminum Work RS locking lug nuts:

4 Locking nuts @ 18.7 grams each, 74.8 grams combined
20 non locking nuts @ 25.3 grams each, 506 grams combined
Grand total of 580.8 grams... Dunno how much the stock nuts weight, probably a bit more. Anyone know?

The stock Chrome Acorn Closed Tops are 1.4LB per 20
1.4 pounds = 635.029318 grams
The stock Flat Acorn Open Tops (T2 89-91) are .7 per 20
.8 pounds = 362.873896 grams
Work Nuts 506 grams = 1.11553905 pounds
So in summary, your hella expensive nuts are lighter than stock vert/n/a but much heavier than stock T2 nuts, although stock T2 nuts are uglier than **** IMO because they are just a nasty open top nut type thing.

Told ya.
As far as what color, I actually think Silver would look real nice on the car with everything else thats going on, or Red, and the obvious white, 2008 lexus is350 pearl white would be retarded nice on the car. Those colors make bodies look good kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
And yeah I knew you probably got the nuts because of the size etc.
And no black does not go out of "style" but far from what popular opinion is black does NOT always look good or correct on a car, it just doesn't., This car I beleive is a great example of something that someone will be displeased with once is painted, hence me harping on it, but to each his own. Black is going to show every scratch and every imperfection, swirl mark, piece of dirt, these are just a few of the very many things that go wrong with it, secondly black has no ability to show good depth to a body kit like this, black can show liquid depth but not "feel" depth because the color itself soaks in all the light, Silver also has this problem in a different way but Silver would show the body nicely. Red, Blue, Green, they show depth, although I think Blue and Green are not great choices here either. If it were my car I would probably paint it white/red or silver.

For the love of all things rotary, the man wants his sic fancy black pearl, leave it be.
This car would look sweet if you painted it hugger orange or pink. As for black showing marks, yes its quite difficult to maintain *if you don't know how to care for paint* but he's made his mind up a long time ago.
I understand discussion etc. but c'mon guys this is Juiceh's thread to show what he's done and his progress etc. no need to clutter the **** out of this thread with every opinion under the sun - let the man paint it chameleon purple if he wants!!

Cycling through the hues on my template, blues and greens looked hideous.
I am also allowed to give Juiceh a hard time... just because... and we usually end up in the same group buys for certain parts so we MUST have some kind similar tastes. Besides, its fun picking on him.

that silver would look absolutely BADASS
oh and uh, chameleon purple would be badass too......

This thread had been taken over by twits who think Juice is building the car to please them. He isn't so stfu and go troll elsewhere.
Juice, the front bumper looks great and that is what I was going to do with mine since it looked "unfinished" the way it was and always bugged me. Good call.
Also, the front lip addition is perfect and to be honest, I wasn't at all happy with the way it terminated at the edge of the wheel well as I had them originally made. Unfortunately I didn't catch that part before the molds were made and after that, it was too late. Good call again.
Also, fwiw, there are shops that can apply sheets of custom cut clear helicopter tape to all the leading edges. Might be worth the expense to keep the car looking pretty.

Bullshit he isn't building that car to please me/us.
First of all who the **** do you think LOOKS at his car, thats basically the most ignorant thing I have EVER EVER heard dude.
Its a CAR simply by its sheer NATURE it IS a dick extension, which you want other people to look at and comment on, when driving down the street you arent looking at the ************ YOURSELF, you are having people look at it and give you the thumbs up and ****. Spinning 26" wheels you cant SEE that **** spinning inside the car, if you want a car for yourself and yourself only buy a limo or buy something and do nothing but flesh out the interior and leave the outside hooptie lol.
Or more to the point if you are building something for yourself don't put wheels on it build it inside your house so you can watch it day and night and NOT have other people comment or tell you how nice it is.
Juice do what you want but I also have photoshopped everything color wise on the car and I think you should really take a few of your pictures and do it yourself before you really spray, imo. if you cant or dont know how I can for you if you give me colors or paint codes I can show you.

trust- you said like a hundred posts ago it was a joke- now its just a old boring joke and clutters things up
the only reason I would NOT do black is quite simple- when all that bodywork starts shrinking and rocking and rolling its the seams and bodywork will start to show through. It will show through with any colors, but black will generate alot more heat.
Best to keep that car out of the sun as much as possible, lol
