Buildup: 91 Vert, A-spec 500R + lots more.
EDFC is just an electronic motor that twists the top adjuster on the strut its like hving gizmo the gremlin at all four corners... on command, o so its cool, but definitely not insane. I think it'd be insane if it could adjust camber and spring height, yeah THAT would be insane!
oh man I am liking the front parking light solution! thats one area where the FC looks so dated. nice ideas on the modernization.
you have had a ton of great ideas on this buildup, props!

The plans right now for the engine are big streetport S5 13bt with S4 rotors, balanced rotating assembly, stud kit, lapped irons, 2mm seals with lots of boost pumped out by the 500r and some methanol\water injection. I want to max out the turbo.
I was gonna get a bit more crazy with some internal modifications. But I decided not to blow the extra money on the engine. If this engine blows up I'll probably drop a 20b in there.

Yeah, went by the shop on Friday. Carpet has been removed. Floors pan is getting a nice coating of POR-15. Not much new to look at so I didn't bother taking pics, didn't really have time either.
The car hasn't gone up on the lift for the undercarriage work yet. The shop owner has one of his old school muscle cars on the lift.
Seats were delayed a bit. I think they will be on there way to me this week. Not sure though.

Update!!!!! We spilled something!
Engine bay painted, sub frame still needs to be painted. Door jams painted. Trunk area coated with bed liner which will then be sprayed over with body color and then a flat clear. Interior of doors & trunks have been painted. Underside trim painted on the hood. The center area of the bottom of the hood where the fibers are visible will be sprayed over as well. Hopefully by the end of next week everything should be put back on the car and we can finally see the big picture.
The paint is absolutely astonishing in person. The pictures don't even do it justice. The body shop owner loves the color I picked out. He wants to use it on his next project. I was honestly a bit unsure about the color, but after walking into the shop and seeing how its turning out I am very happy with my choice. In the sunlight its just amazing.

YouTube quality blows. Theres some dust on the car and at 10 seconds in I wipe it off the radiator support but when I zoom in to show the metallic flakes in the paint you can't see them very well. The HD source video looks way better. Oh well, here are a couple pics with no flash and with flash to show what I mean.

I stopped by the shop today. The primer coat was getting blocked. The car was covered in dust again. LoL! I didn't take any pics or vids. My rollbar setup was delivered to the shop yesterday. They were waiting on that so they could weld that in before they put my car up on the lift to do the underside. Once thats done the car rolls back into the booth. I'm gonna stop by the shop again this friday. I'll take pics & vids then.

This video is all about the lines & fitment. As you can see, things are turning out beautifully.
Blocking of the primer coat nearly complete. They were working on the last bit when I got there was the, front passenger fender. They took a break while I did some filming.
You can see primer dust piled up on the passenger side sideskirt around 1:28-30.
Sideskirt mounting hardware is temporary. Gonna be using some nice flush body colored hardware.
Currently there are 3 Rx vehicles in this shop. My 7, Chicago Rotary Club President's FD and and Rx8.
Your welcome!
Haven't unpacked the pallet yet. From what I've been able to see the bar looks nice the rest is still covered up. It will be unpacked next week and the bar will be put in.
But, before that I think the car is getting rolled back into the booth for another primer coat. Then the rollbar gets welded in and then we go up on the lift for the underbody. Once all that is done its back to the booth again.
