slow progress, I've gotta figure out how to ship the stuff to wisconsin so the fabricator can do his stuff. I wanna send it all in one box, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. Lately I've been tempted to just do what you did and buy a cheapo ebay manifold and downpipe just to save money. I was looking at this one, which did you buy?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...item2c58188576

couple other questions, how long were your oil feed and return lines for the turbo? what did you use for attaching them to the turbo and block?

What kind of turbo you looking to upgrade to? If you're looking to stay in the Precision line, PM me. I'll have a Billet 6768 HP-Q journal bearing for sale as soon as I pull it off my car. Basically brand new.

I want something of a 67mm variety...It seems that I have the PERFECT turbo to make power in the 450-480whp range and have a track monster, but my goal is 500mark.

I'm not sure a journal bearing is going to be the route I go, that thing would probably come online pretty late I assume?

Well, consider that A-Spec's GT3574, a journal bearing P-Trim version of a 35R has nearly the same spool characteristics as a ball bearing 35R, I believe proper exhaust sizing is just as important as BB/JB. the 6768 has an F1 trim 68mm exducer exhaust wheel vs. the P-Trim 65mm. My only problem is I didn't have a divided housing for it, and I only ran it into boost once before cracking an iron. Even with the un-divided housing, it reached 20+psi at around 4000-4500 RPM.

And it has their billet 67mm wheel, which as put down over 900 awhp in an Evo, so figure it should be good for at least 600whp in a rotary.

I gotta get mine sold first before I can even consider the next turbo, if I do it looks like I have plenty of options Sounds like that 6768 would be a beast and in the running.

your search is over, flows more, should have similar spool characteristics, maybe a bit slower, make up for it by going ball bearing.

They sell the old bulky Turbonetics divided housing, not the new Precision divided one. Unless they changed now.

Don't see there being much of a difference if any. The biggest thing is the weight/size. My current 6765 has the turbonetics housing too and I've been meaning to change it. Thankfully Precision finally came out with their own for my new 6765 hehe.

I decided today that it was time to drop the ball on getting the oil coolers and v-mount project going...lost the AC in the process Ill probably clean some more things up in the engine bay while I can get in there.

The Cool-Charge III duct and the PreTurbo water injection will be up in the parts section soon!

What power did you see with the 6265? And at what boost? I have one with a 1.0 divided housing waiting to be finished up and thought with it's flow would be able to hit the 500 mark. I understand the loss of the ac it has been a pain to work around on my vmount build but with las Vegas temperatures it's hard to lose.

I'm honestly surprised he ditched a/c in missouri, gets really humid, and during the summer it can be unbearable.

Yeah I tried driving here w/o ac in the summer and at 120 ot was not enjoyable. And I'm very used to the heat working on ac/refrigeration and all. I was suppressed how little air flow there is with the windows down. Might be better if I had a sunroof. Not trying to hijack so back on track.

If it's that hot outside then I'd really prefer not to drive the car anyway My DD has AC which is enough for me.

Getting everything in place and seeing how it looks, probably start on some brackets this week and get some welding done...then onto ducting....airflow shouldn't be an issue anymore, and I can finally fit a real air filter on there to breathe in some of that fresh ambient air

What power did you make with the 6265, and at what psi? I'm asking under the assumption that you got her on the dyno at some point.

My rebuild and upgrade to single should, hopefully, be done soon. I'm just curious what ballpark figures I can/should expect with that turbo.

Didn't make it to the dyno, it felt real real nice on the butt dyno though and enough to hold me over till now, I can say that it will be more than enough for any auto-x/road race car and the response is beautiful. I plan on sending the turbo into Precision and have everything looked over and make sure the turbo is in good shape, and see if I can get it sold...if it doesn't sale then I will put it back on the car once everything is back together and get some numbers.

I plan on moving to something in the 67mm area...hopefully I can get that sorted out over winter

It's not really that bad, I think ditching the a/c was the best thing for me since I used it like 3 times this year and it made working on the car much easier. I'm a bit of a minimalist anyways. And like Stu said, when its that hot outside i've got the other daily beater with a/c to get me where I need to go.

Stu, the setup sounds great and I'm looking forward to some more pics ;-) And I think we are going to pull the motor this wednesday if you wanted to drop by.
