I hate all you guys, 460@16lbs on the 62 and 480 on 18lbs on the 67, you're not making this decision any easier!

I think the 6265 is pretty much the perfect fit for the FD if you're wanting to make high 400/low 500 hp...and still have room to grow

Manny, this is with the 62 correct? At what RPM are you seeing full boost? And what type of porting do you have done?

oh no no.. I'm working with a Garrett GT40R/dualbb. Doesn't spool as fast as i'd like though my custom mani did help a lot. Seeing it all around 4800... hoping to swap it out for a HKS T04z though.. I figure if the pan speed car is making 550 and it spools quick enough for their time attack car...it should suit my canyon/track and dd pretty well haha. It's a special rotary power street/race port.

Thanks Manny.

I am definitely gonna go the PT billet route, but I need to see some more numbers to help me decide between the 6265 and the 6765.

My goal is to be at 1 Bar BY 4000 RPM, preferrably sooner. That is just for my DD, Twisties carving set up, No meth inj. This is essentially my low boost setting. If I can get these results I will be happy regardless of the HP numbers, which should be 400+

EDIT: To briefly summarize my low boost goal, I am trying to match the Stock S5 13BT Boost curve as closely as possible, except with a huge freakin turbo and make way more power.

Overall goal on high boost will be 500+ HP with Meth inj.

Thoughts? Discussion?
My current setup is a S5 13B HBP, all fuel and tuning taken care of, and a fully divided Manifold, full 3" exhaust.

A ton of guys on here wouldn't advice anything over 400 without water meth injection... you can still run it on your low boost setting to..

After my 500R went out on me I sent it back to Sean over at A-spec to get the PT62 billet done. Here is my dyno over at Mike lowes place. Guy is a very good builder.
Here is the write up.

Just wanted to say got back from Lowes performance in Sarasota Florida. Mike did a great good on the rebuild of my engine. And thank you to A-spec for getting my turbo back and fixed from Garrett in a timely manner. Sorry Ryan for being so pushy.
Here is what happened: Have a 500R, with the billet housing, PFC, 550/1600, walbro fuel pump, meth injection running boost juice, Apexi twin power greeddy boost controller, AEM wide band. 4inch , straight trough black Apex seals, street ported by Mike and build. and some other stuff.
For some reason the waste gate wasn't holding boost, there was a 11lb. spring in it but still shooting up way high. Mike was saying how I need a higher wastegate ie: instead for 44mm. a 50.
Brought it over to the dyno and the 1st run made 405 at 15psi. and about 7,000rpm. The 2nd run did 456 and went past 15, it was around 17psi. at 7400rpm. Mikes son had to let off cause fuel was running out. I guess the fuel pump couldn't keep up. Regardless I am totally stoked with the power this thing made toady, absolutely phenomenal.

Mike then wanted to check the meth injection to make sure it was working. We undid the nozzle and found out the it was only shooting out very little boost juice maybe 1oz. each time. Pretty sure it should be coming out a lot more then that right?
I recommend anyone to go to his shop and get work done. Car pulls like no tomorrow and its pretty scary to drive.
I will post the sheet soon.

When I shut down the car I can still here the turbine still spinning for about a minute. I really wanted to see it preform up to 8K but was loosing fuel.

Radiant, at what RPM were you seeing 15 PSI on your dyno runs?

I have no numbers yet, as I am still trying to get a concrete tuning date set. Kan won't be coming to STL until 5 or so people are locked in, and even then it doesn't sound like the tune I'm looking for is achievable or doable given the circumstances.

I called and left a message with BDC about tuning, but I'm sure his schedule is pretty busy as well so I'm just sitting here playing the waiting game for now.

Hit up Brian via email, it is usually the best way to get ahold of him. At worst you could make a quick trip to the greatest state ever to get your tune on.

Just an update, I finally started some good tuning on the car...I will be tuning all of the cruise and idle stuff while I try and source some 10's for spark plugs, last time I checked Ari didn't have any.

I will be buying Brents nozzle setup for the PreTurbo WI after going in circles with testing other nozzles.

YAYYYYY

pretty sure I'm buying the 6265 from sean at a-spec, he even managed to find a divided housing and isn't charging more for it . Not to mention he's got a great price for his July sale.

I would really like to have the 1.0AR divided housing if that's the one you were lucky to get your hands on. I can tell you with my undivided .96 housing the turbo wants to come on real fast. It can only get better.

Spool up looked to be superb...I would say by 4200rpm you will be at your desired boost level. On my car on a map not even optimized just yet I would say 4200rpm the car is ready to go.

Did I miss something, did dudeman-sdljkbsh start selling his own parts for his style WI system? This fall I'm building one and may just get stuff from him.

PS: we need to hang out more stu. Did you see dustin this weekend?
