The Monsterbox 4 Rotor

You summed that up pretty good there. I do all my stuff on my own in my garage and it really frustrates me when I here about shops taking so long to do stuff. The Joe Blow comment got me a bit too. I work in and industry with a wide range of large and small customers and have experienced this from both ends. Project managers get caught up with there big payers and push there work over and above everything else. A few things can happen. You tell your small customer their delivery date has slipped and give them a new one and maybe bend the truth as to why. They won't want to hear they have been bumper for someone more important! You keep messing them around and then they go off and get a new supplier and tell all their friends you are useless and to go somewhere else. Then your big payer has a change of plans or gets a better deal down the road or overseas and pulls their order. Ohh. Now you have no worm and you are on the verge of going under. Seen it happen! And I warned them! In this case the specialist nature of the build as you have pointed out does not leave many options. However, there is late and there just plain taking the p!#s. I am quite a fan of these guys too so it's very disappointing.
Maybe start the next car in the meantime!?

Guys, hindsight after cooling down somewhat and doing some work on this car this afternoon, I don't want this thread to become negative.
Sorry about the posts earlier. There's nothing wrong w/ expressing truth, but I wanna give it some more time stay positive keep focus and when this thread is read back on by those in the future, I don't want anything negative. Just a process of dreaming and building and work ethic.
Thanks for understanding and for participating

Props on keeping it positive. I have faith the engine will be delivered. It really is all about the reputation of the seller. I spent 11+ months waiting on an A-Spec single turbo kit that I was quoted to have in 2 months, BUT I knew going into it that this seemed to happen to everyone. About the time I quit being pissed and had all but gave up on it, a bomb *** turbo kit showed up at my door.
I have faith PPRE will deliver. So long as they don't ship UPS, in which case I'll keep an eye out on ebay for you.

So this seems to be a popular question
Those are two coolers, one on either side. What cannot be seen, is the backside of the cooler, of the storage bin wall. This area has been cut out to the approximate dimensional area of each cooler core, then the core is sealed with weather stripping to this window outlet in the body. The air vents under the car, in front of the rear sub frame. Fiberglass scoops may be made on the backside to channel the air/area into the air stream passing under the vehicle to promote more vacuum. The fans push onto the coolers, taking surrounding air from the cabin (which the car has no windows so should be relatively close to ambient air).
Finally, when the car is fully complete, Lexan windows will be installed for the doors, a NACA duct will be installed on the passenger side which will direct air via ducting into the first cooler on passenger side.
The coolers will cool the water returning from integrated intake manifold core, as the water is passing back into the rule2000 pump inside the 2 gal tank pictured
Thank you

I hope that the engine setup will be worth the wait. If it's not worth the wait, we will trash PPRE together as a team. You have tremendous support and empathy from all those who went through similar ordeal which is far too common especially for those willing to spend in 10k denominations.

just found this thread and read the whole thing. Badass! I love the "formula" of this buiid, ie; the stock bumpers with add-ons instead of an aftermarket one, etc. The work is great.
That wiring harness work a few pages ago is beautiful .
Hopefully everything works out with your engine. I look forward to seeing it in the same location as the rest of the car.

Don't let the rotor-rage get to ya
(*similar to roid-rage?)
I enjoy seeing all these custom parts come together into something substantial, and the over all vision taking shape. Very inspiring.
