It is winter so it is time for the shop cars to have some upgrades, the 20B FD is getting a face lift, new skirts, new shoes, etc.

Just installed Apexi N1 EXV coilovers:

Parts from Shine

Front nose:

99 side skirts

Waiting on the Pettit rear flares to show up and off to the body shop.

We have a set of Work VS-XX 18x12.5 and 18x9.5 currently being made up for us.

Pettit rear flares arrived. We also put a set of stock wheels and tires on for the trip to the body shop, making it completely un-drivable.

Since the car is getting an exterior make over, we decided to pull the engine and rebuild just as preventative maintenance. Installed an Xcessive LIM and 6 ID1000's in the secondaries

Heat shrink, to help prevent the SS lines from sawing through everything. Been doing it for years.

You may need a larger fuel tank to keep up with that set up. Looks really good
Will your fuel pumps keep up or do you have plans for them too?

Hey Joe, how are you?

Already have twin Walbro 255's, but you are correct a tank of fuel does not go very far.

New wheels and tires test fitting. Pay no attention to how far the rear wheels stick out, flares are being added and we will tune the suspension a little lower once paint is complete.

I always thought this was a great car with the exception of exterior, looks like it will be one of the sickest FDs in the country soon! And with a 3 rotor that didnt take years to build and actually stays together.

Great FD and the engine bay has always been a work of art.

Thanks!

Finding a trustworthy body shop is easier said then done. After the fiasco I had 10 years ago, I just lived with the exterior imperfections. However, now that the car is basically done mechanically and the interior has been replaced with all new plastic, the exterior was really starting to wear on me.

Found a great body guy that restores classic muscle cars, been working out the details of what I am looking for since last summer. Car is scheduled in for 4/1.
