Ummm...I'm about to raise the BS flag, but I'm going to be nice and just let you know that 4th gear tops out at 140mph...

Not only is this standard info due to the tranny of the FD, but I also know this for a fact, since I've seen 150+ a few times...

Either you're full of it, or you have a totally diff gear ratio (which I still don't think would last you up to 156...) or a totally diff tranny...

take it up to 160 with ease with jus a DP and cat-back... do it on a regular basis to keep my sanity... the speedo says 180, though, so I don't think I'll do the fd justice if I never take it up there just once... one day...

Jesus. That's a pretty big lesson to be teaching a Subu. He probably put his car up for sale the next day.

I have to agree. I hit about 150 the other day and when I was shift from forth I glanced down and I was at about 135-140. I was shifting at 7000, maybe a touch sooner.

Where are you guys finding the roadspace to safetly hit 180mph??!! When I hit 160, it took me a considerable length of road to get to 165...and by then I had prob. already travelled well over 2 miles in total. To find a perfectly flat, clear, highly visible and open road like that...I guess I'm just living in the wrong state!

I've been up to about 160 but it was a long time ago. I hit 140 all the time but rarely go over that. I like to run out 4th then slow down. The faster your car is the less room you need haha. I usually hit around 130 or so before the entrance ramp even runs out LOL

LOL...I know what you mean Stephen. And I'm sure some of these guys running large singles can hit the larger #s much quicker than I can. But hitting 140 ain't no thing for me...it literally takes seconds. It's once you drop it into 5th...from that point on, time is stretched out. It takes a while to hit 160...and quite a while to hit anything else beyond that.

I have a nice stretch of deserted highway close to my house. You rarely see any other cars. Has some hills, curves, and an uphill followed by a flat straight to an overpass where you can wind down and go back to town.

I've been up to 160-165 w. a police officer as my passenger. He commented on how stable it felt!

I just read in a forum that you are looking for a front bumper to reach the 300kph , please let me know if you get it , I know that you live in Japan , and there the tuners have a lot experience with the hi speed disigns.
Not like the american tuners that they only they care about the 1/4 mile times.
I live in Santiago City , in Chile , South America. here we have a lots of hiways , and when we race in the street it is all about the top speed and handling.
I have some videos of me racing in Santiago Hiways ,as soon as they inagurate they , At that moment I only reach 230kph , but the last time that I race I reach 280kph.

Please If you have some information that you whant to sare with me I will apreciate it a lot.
