The hood will be made out of fiberglass, and we won't have an exact weight until after the first one comes out of the mold. However, we expect it to be VERY light in comparison to the stock hood.

RexRyder, the main vent is 23" wide X 5.75" long with a .75" - 1.00" lip up on the front side of the vent. If there are other dimensions that you are concerned with please PM me and I'll get the info for you if I don't already have it. Thanks.

Not to worry Rob. The prototype will be ready for molding by the end of the week. And we should have hoods available for sale in less than a month! Plus, the hoods will be available at Rotary Fest in San Fran June 24th.

Or N/A, or a V-mount. I know that there is a forum member in Phoenix, AZ that is within a week from having an FC specific V-mount radiator and IC kit for sale. Just a heads up though.

How is that a 'reverse' vent? Looks like a regular mid-hood vent, as opposed to a scoop.

Reverse vent, drop vent, etc. There are several used names for this type of hood. I just chose one of them. Maybe I should've just said vented hood.

PM answered. And we don't have a final price yet. That is the one reason why we haven't been asking for any money. I hope to have a final price before the end of this weekend. I'll keep everyone posted.

I'd get it for my N/a, but that's a lost cause. =( V-mount would take too much time/money for me right now. It's one of my two cars, (n/a one doesn't work) and I'm still in school, great thinking though =P

CF isn't a yes or a no as of yet. It all depends on the demand for it. You know?

p4nc7, I hear ya.

Damnit am I the only one that wants a CF vented hood that doesn't look as hideous as the Dmax hood?

*edit*
Or am I the only FC owner that can afford a CF hood?
