hey thanks for the knowledge, the only problem i see with this hood is the turbo vent. it just looks weird to me. i would just like the big vent, no turbo vent.

Maybe the turbo vent could be an option? Some might want a hood like this on an NA and the turbo vent wouldn't do too much back there except maybe help keep headers a tad cooler but probably not noticably at all. Typically though I think this type of hood would be wanted by the guys needing as much air flow as possible through the airdam. The guys running FMIC/VMIC + Bigger turbos who probably could use a vent for the turbo.

Besides, air hitting an engine doen't do much especially on top og the engine, it works better in the intake, radiator, and intercooler all of which would be in the front of the car unless you run a stock TMIC, and if that was the case you wouldn't buy this hood.
I totally understand pushing out the hot air through the scoop. I always thought that these hoods help bring more air into the engine, and i had a difficult time figuring out the aerodynamics of how you can possibly do that.

It's cool Jason. Everything makes sense now though right? If you have any other questions please feel free to PM me and we can discuss it in detail.

Rob, thanks for the compliments bro. You know we try really hard.

Juiceh, I know what you're saying about the vent option. And I do think that's a good idea. But the turbo vent is going to come on all of the hoods. For the first production run at least simply because removing it means making a second hood to make a mold out of. That would take quite a bit of time seeing as Mael tends to be a perfectionist! (And I'm not saying that's a bad thing!!)

weather or not it fits it's a bad idea to cover the TMIC.

I refuse to cut my...mohawk I guess you could call it? I'm almost 200% it won't clear the TMIC. Why not go FMIC anyways?

I actually saw a couple of newer pictures the other day of the hood. It's so worth the wait. I will have high res pictures to post up in this thread soon. The hood is beautiful!!

Evilrotor, no I am 99% sure that this hood will not clear the stock TMIC. But like others have said, why would you want to block off the TMIC even if it did fit? Even if you are running some type of water to air setup, the radiant heat from the motor is going to seriously decrease the capability of the setup. Just my .02 though.

An NA hood will clear the stock TMIC so why wouldn't this hood? That area of this hood isn't dipping down any further than the stock na hood. But seriously though, you need to go FMIC or Vmount if you want to use this hood. Using any hood with out a scoop for a TMIC is just a bad idea.

Zach, quit teasing us and post those pics!!

You have a PM too.

...so, you are 99% certain it won't clear the TMIC? That is all the info I needed, thanks.

Zach, yes, my friend and I are trying an A2W setup using stock TMIC location on both our cars. We can do all the fabrication ourselves, so it will be cheap. If it doesn't work worse than my FMIC, I will keep it, if not go back to FMIC.

Evilrotor, have you thought about using the A2W IC setup and just placing it somewhere else? In all honesty, this hood will probably clear that TMIC. But I would say no for two reasons. #1. If I say yes and it doesn't then you're going to return it and we hate having unhappy customers. #2. If it does work and the motor blows, we don't want to be blamed. I'm not saying that you would blame us, but some people on here would. You know what I mean?

And I will have the high res pics for you guys soon. I do think that you'll all be very happy with the end product.

nope it cant as pics have already been posted on this thread and the only reason more reasent pics havent been posted is because Im trying to get ahold of a good digi camera because all I have right now is a camera phone that take bad pics lol
sunroofs were talked about for many pages on this fourm and now 5one5 innovations sells fiberglass sunroofs
so have no fear pics of the proto type will be here soon as I have a good camera
I can also tell you guys the hood is DONE so as soon as pics are up I will be taking deposits based on the final price that will be posted with the pics.
