Stan, shoot me an email address for you via PM and I'll send you pictures of the pods. If you want to see people standing on them show up to the May meet in Sac and you can stand on my pod. I've had up to a 250 pound person put all of their weight on it. And that's a fairly thin fiberglass part.

haha I'll pass on the meet it's too far away and I'm gonna be pretty busy all next month. BTW I found the FD pan but the sensor was gone, didnt bother to check if an FC one would fit on it or not but if you find out it does I have 2. Still need to look through another parts bin for the tank.

yeah, the guage pods are crazy strong... for example, lets say the world blew up into infinite pieces, the guage pods would still be 100% intact, and unscathed.

When you stand on them, it dosnt even look like they bend or flex AT ALL, and its only supported by a few edges. I would so trust a hood from 5one5.

Zach, if you guys want somebody to...show off the hood...id be more than happy to drive around with it on my car indefinitly

It's doubtful. But I will have it before Rotorfest in June. I'll have the sunroof, camber plates, and gauge pods.

This hood or any other reverse vent would suck with a tmic wouldn't it? I mean it wouldn't get any air.

correct, the hood would be for NA cars or turbo cars running a fmic setup or vmount. If I can make rotorfest this year, I will definatly want to see this hood.

Camman, PM'd you about the gauge pods. And to anyone else who doesn't already know, if you have questions about any of 5one5's products then PM me and I'll sort you out.

The reason I ask is because I am in the midst of my W2A IC project and the IC will be in the stock TMIC location. The W2A IC needs no air to perform.

Jimmy, I'll have Mael take a look at see if the hood will clear a TMIC. I should have an answer for you soon.

Rotorfest will be in the San Fran area either the 2nd or 3rd weekend in June. I'll have 5 new products available there as well. And some of these none of you have heard about before.

And I should have some more details about the hood before the day is out. No pictures as of yet, but some good details.

Actually it will Ben. I will talk to you about it at the shop this weekend. This hood should be able to clear the TB problems with LS1 swaps, the fitment problems with 20B swaps and even your setup.

Hey man
Yes you can run the hood on an N/A as long as you have an electric fan (stock fan doesnt fit)
I have been running the hood pictured in the first post for quite a while on my N/A it has dropped my radiator temps quite alot and over all the under hood temp has lowered as well.
Here are two more pics of the hood in the first post. THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL HOOD TO BE MOLDED!! The hood for molding has a slightly less steep and agressive vent. However the actual opening is very close to the same size. The hood I'm working on right now also has a small vent behind the turbo. Pics of that hood will hopefully be up mid to end of next week. Please excuse the battle damage on the front corner of the car.
Thanks for all the great comments about my gauge pods guys. I really hope you like all of the other parts 5one5 is currenty working on for the fc. I'm hoping to have upwards of 10 fc parts in the next 3 months or so.

website coming soon
I would also like to thank Zach for all his efforts in helping to put 5one5 on the map.

Thanks Mael

Sounds good, thanks.

FWIW, the vent above the TB is not needed. I think the hood would look better if it wasn't symmetric, like the stock hood...ya know, the scoop being off center makes it look cool as hell. Maybe two screen vents on the turbo side of the center vent would be cool too. I dunno, I'm just throwing ideas out for you guys to consider.

The closer this thing looks like the Panspeed, the better IMO.
