The vents are a different shape and size, the rear vent is also in a different location, and the profile of our hood is different. Basically the only thing three things that are the same are:
1. They are both vented hoods
2. They both have 2 vents on them
3. They are both made of fiberglass

I'm not trying to sound like an *** or anything, but I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that our hood is not a Panspeed knock off.

And the pictures are finally taken. I should be getting them in an email today!! Also, no aftermarket vented hood was used as a model. The prototype hood that is in these pictures is actually a stock N/A hood that Mael cut up and molded fiberglass onto. That should help to show you just how talented he is with composite work.

FC3S_Nataku, I plan on getting this hood and the Panspeed one and doing some testing to see how each performs. May be a while before I can post up results that will help you decide which you want though.

I would be willing to bet that they'll perform almost exactly the same. There might be a slight difference, but not $550 worth of difference. I have priced the Panspeed hood a couple of different times and the best price I could get was $1200 shipped. To me, I just can't see that big of a difference in performance. And I know for a fact that there won't be any difference in quality.

FC3S_nataku, I did't take your post as being bad. I just wanted to state that before the hood was labeled as a replica. You were not in the wrong by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry if I came off like a dick.

Ask and you shall receive. Sorry about the 5one5 being shadowed right over the vent, but the guy who took the pictures for us was worried about other people trying to take the vent design. I still think that the pictures show what everyone wanted to see though.

Now that the pictures are up and hte hood is about to go off for molding, PM me if you are seriously interested about buying a hood.

Let me know what you think. Sorry that it took so long to get these pictures up. Also, notice the cool 5one5 widebody front fenders. They'll be coming in the next 6-8 months.

looks good on the rainbow car, if I had a front or vmount I'd get it, but sadly I don't have the money to do any major part swaps but I'm sure you'll get lots of sales.

I'll be honest. I LOVE the hood..but I HATE the small, turned vent. If there was one on the other side to match, it would be different...

Just a little off the subject but, where in hell are you guys finding v-mount ic's and all the kick *** parts for the fc's. I've had my fc for almost four years, currently converting it to a turbo II and I'm having a hell of a time finding sites for parts. Can you guys suggest any sites. I love the hood. If I can get my hands on a v-mount I'd be buyin one of those. Did you say you make pillar gauges?

Oh, like adrock3217 said, I agree that it would look better having the matching vent on the otherside but on the otherhand I think it adds character and not only that but it shows that the hood isn't just for looks and serves a purpose.

blackfcTII, if you want a V-mount IC for your car then PM me. There is a friend of mine in AZ that makes a V-mount kit for our cars. I custom made my own and have custom CF ducting as well, but mine isn't available as a kit just yet.

Adrock, I know what you mean. We thought for a long time about a matching second vent on the hood. But honestly, it would've been just for looks and not for function. It's not like the TB or intake elbow need a vent. Plus the hood just looked "busy" with vents on both sides.

BLUE TII's AWESOME engine setup
Have you looked at that thread. That is the setup I want for my IC, I think this hood would be perfect for that.

I have talked to him about his setup as well. He's a really cool guy. Not sure if he is replicating his setup or not though. Pretty much any V-mount setup available for our cars will work with this hood. And of course any FMIC or N/A guys will also benefit from running a vented hood.
