1st of all I would like to say that I have read most of the 35 pages so far and I really hope you can make this project work. There is only one point I would like to bring to your notice.
Some years ago the Ford Focus WRC car, had problems with the driveshaft (most of the times broken), because of the exhaust pipe running next to it, pretty much like your setup.
I think that you should look into the subject more and take some precautions.

lost 2 employees for the shop so the car went to the back burner.

Also i am building an exhaust header and turbo setup for a forum member which a paying job always comes first!

I am hesitant to post pictures since i lost the ability to archive them on my own.

Does anyone know what the limit of the forum is for storing pictures?

Driveshaft shop chromoly Axles come back from getting ceramic coated. Used ceramic for the polished silver look!

I have the exhaust finished, welded and mounted. The header is about 25% done. I am now just waiting for a break from work to get working on it again. I am hoping to work something out for my new intake manifold this week and get it started. Meeting with the machine shop to go over the design and start the cnc programming!

Parts also come in for the spare 3-rotor build. All new irons, housings, front cover, bearings and seals. Still have to buy the ceramic seals. ouch
The only thing i will re-use is the rotors, centershaft and bolts!

Thanks for the interest, hope to get some updates soon.

A little progress and why!

I have not been moving along very well as you know. Lost a couple employees but on the positive side, here is beautiful picture of my 11 month old excuse. My daughter is almost 3 but sleeping in the car while i had the camera out so i'll get a pic of her later!

He is available for a photo shoot like say for an NX advertisement if any one would be willing to give his dad a little free stough! (He will end up with it someday any way and hopefully after it is built and running!)

I didn't show the pic of the header flange because the last primary tube is not completed yet and ends right at the edge of the picture.

I will post pics though and give full credit for the awesome flange and great price!

Thanks for the 1/2" S.S. exhaust flange tt.

header

Here is the rest of the header.

I just have to finish the down pipe and position the waste gate to weld the flange on the end.

I'm thinking of satin black or grey high heat ceramic coat inside and out for the header and the rest of the exhaust silver ceramic polished. I am going to ceramic the entire exhaust inside and out for a heat barrier and also to keep the temps up inside the pipe to maintain a higher exhaust velocity for better flow in a large pipe.

Now that it's all done, i'm very happy with that bevel. I was worried it may still be to large, but looks perfect. Any smaller, and it wouldn't have been very noticeable. I dunno about you, but I think I like the 2 lightening holes without a bevel, so maybe it worked out for the best with our miscommunication. The size of bevel we chose for the outside of the flange would have been WAY to large for those lightening hole. However, a nice medium size radius would of been great. I was kind of worried with not seeing it before it shipped out and all, but i'm glad you was happy with it!

Anywho, the manifold looks great!! Burns makes a hell of a collector too!

On a side note, you said something about coating the inside of the exhaust...Do you mean just the exhaust, or the manifold also? There's been some talk about the possibility of it flaking inside the manifold, and possibly damaging the turbo.

BTW, i'm starting on my intake manifold here pretty soon, and you may be able to get an idea of what yours would look like in person. That is if you ever get around to coming down here!

Yea, I know what ya mean! Ever since I got rid of the night crew, i've been working non-stop!

Whenever it works for you is just fine. I know when we first spoke, you wanted the manifold done ASAP, so I was getting a little concerned when we spoke about finishing it in a month, and then 2 weeks were shot! lol Seems like the car is on the "back burner" at the moment though. Anywho, i'll be sending over an e-mail for some things i'd like to go ahead and purchase. We'll talk about this then! Don't wan't to get your thread off topic here!

I ceramic coated the inside and out of my manifold with the high temp grey coating. It flaked off on the outside and the inside is all but gone. The flakes are so thin and fragile there is no way they could damage the turbo. I had my turbo inspected just to be sure.
The guy who does the coating is redoing it for free. We are using black this time on the outside as it can take more heat than the grey or silver. On the inside he is using another type of black ceramic coating they use in the exhaust ports of piston engines that can take even more heat.
The other option is to send it to Jet-Hot for their highest temp coating that is available in either silver or black and is apparently only available from them on site afaik.

TT_Rex_7 the 20b flange fit perfect btw.

Pics of my 13b manifold (flange from TT_Rex_7) that was coated later.

With special thanks to Alex from H&H tool and machine shop, i am finally getting my dream intake manifold built. CNC billet runners!

If any one needs any machine work done, i highly recommend getting ahold of him.
First class operation with more cnc machines than i have ever seen before!
They can make anything with awesome quality and a good price!

Thanks Alex.... Can't wait until my intake is done as well as yours! Let me know if i can help you on anything!

How about cnc machined adapters for the 20b throttle body? An adapter that will bolt onto the tb and have a 90mm pipe on it or something?
