We're working on it! Should have some more things for you to approve ~ Monday. The whole bolt hole deal didn't help with getting it all drawn up!

I've also ran into an issue with having access to the bolt between the middle runners! (Primaries) Unfortunatly, a spacer won't solve my problems with how my intake manifold is designed. I'm 95% sure i've gotten it figured out now though! Until your intake manifold is done, mine is on the back burner as far as getting machined. I've slowly been programming on it in my spare time though.

When you come back down for the final time to talk with Joe, and make sure your intake manifold is 100% correct, we'll get to show you our new toy! Mitsubishi MDPro Wire EDM! We're the first shop to have this new machine installed!

^ I've been saying this since the day I realized this thread existed. I just think it's impressive to see what all these people on this forum can do when they have the resources (finances being primary).

^ About bloody time! I'd almost forgotten this thread existed. Hope you got some positive cash flow finally, because IIRC you put the project on hold because of a lack of jobs, right?

no, it was from the lack of time to work on the car by making customer jobs come first as they should!

Is your intake finished?

I sold my 396 and I'm going to be using an LS7 now, but the mounting position will require a custom sheet metal intake. If yours turns out spiffy enough, I might go that route, or at least have the base plate and runners CNC'd from billet.

hey everyone just want to start by saying hi my name is chris, just joined this site because i recently bought a 93 rx-7, love the car, wasnt takin care of by previouse owner tho so im left to clean up the mess, great work from what i can see on your project, i might add much currage to put it up here and take all the critisism and what not, but in the end i bet it helps, ive spent the better part of a day reading threw this thread and at about page 15 i decided to say screw it and just jumped to the last post, lol i will go back and read the rest later, just takes to much time, im learning alot tho, seeings how this is my first rx-7, man there is so much more to these cars when tring to build alota power, im a previouse mustang mach 1 owner and with those cars, you throw in a 14 psi supercharger, intercooler, bigger injectors, fuel pump a chip, and upgrade axels tires and your good to go for around 600 hp, auto illusions if you could email any new pics of your project id love to see em, my email is chrismeyerc@comcast.net im hoping to get a mild build out of my fd compared to everyone in here it seems like, 400-500 rwhp should be plenty, its my everyday driver so yea i dont wanna get to crazy, but still wanna kick peoples *** on the street when they pull up in a vet and think they are all badass, anything to do to loose weight in these cars other then the normall lightweight body parts, and things like that? alright sorry for the long post everyone, ive enjoyed reading this thread tho, and good luck with the project

I'm really trying!

The main parts that Rich needs for fitment are being wrapped up as we speak. As soon as all those parts check out OK, everything is ready to go!

BTW Rich, I ment to call you today, but i've been out of the shop all day for a couple personal reasons, so i'll be giving you a call with my findings tomorrow.

Alex, i can't wait. And Jim Lab, if the parts come out like the pictures i have gotten so far, even you will be impressed. I plan on posting many pictures and bragging for sure once the intake comes together as it will be the centerpiece of the engine no doubt.

How is the headlight kits coming? I have an original RE kit and have seen better as well as i want better so i'll be waiting!

Also, i got one of your solid bushing sets for the suspension but haven't installed it yet. What do you think of or would you recommend using the ball style replacement bushings which are as solid as you can get. I have been thinking about ordering a set just hard to do as i am trying to slow down the purchaces on this particular project and those suckers are real expensive!

I am not an RX-7 expert but i know a enough to give you a little feedback.

The R1 did not come with cruise control, a sun roof, bose amplified stereo system, a rear wiper but it did come with a lower front lip, twin oil coolers, a wing, suede leather seats instead of traditional leather and i think heavier sway bars!

The touring model could come with cruise, sun roof, no wing, rear wiper, bose upgraded stereo system with sub woofer and leather seating and possible automatic trans as an option

I think all 93-95 RX-7 US models had the exact same performance numbers with little or no changes

cym is the yellow paint code which was only produced in 1993 and only used on the the R1 model

I think later year models like 94 and 95 this option these options were called something else.

If you use the search option, i am sure you will find answers to all your questions somewhere on this forum in great detail.

Good luck to you.
