ARC, PWR, Spearco or Bell. Any suggestions on a liquid to air intercooler core?

Does ARC have a web sight?

Leaning towards the PWR barrell style right now.

Also need a custom made radiator, front mount heat exchanger and oil coolers.
Any suggestions?

Griffin for the radiator. I had them make me one for my gs300. Turned out real well.

Here's what I was going to do. Virtically mount my radiator. With the rad mounted virtically you can mount a custom made A2W IC underneith at the bottom of the splash pan slightly in front of the rad. Above that you can mount a 2nd gen style oil cooler in the middle of the rad with a little ducting so air actually passes through it. I like these oil coolers because they have nearly 4 times the capacity of one Fd oil cooler plus they already have built in thermostats. This arrangement will keep the front opening wide open without any blockage like what a FMIC does. In the outer oil cooler ducks, I would mount 2 heat exchangers(one on each side) to cool the water.

Like I said this is what I'm going to do with my project. Everything should get really good air flow without any blockage.

I'm a big fan of C&R racing http://www.crracing.com/

Pretty much all they do is custom stuff and they are the only radiator company I know of that uses a wind tunnel to connect data on different setup and actually can provide specific technical information. When you talk to someone believe it or not htey actually know wtf they are talking about.

sorry for blanking manifold, Flaco Racing didn't want this experiment shown yet.

Again Auto Illusions, great work and effort on your ride, truly outstanding!

Looking forward to updates!

You happen to have any better engine bay pics? I need to relocate my alt and I was wondering if you had any pics showing what they used to mount the alt on the side of the engine

Sorry, I don't have any available at the moment... but Flaco fabricated a custom bracket to hold the alt on that side.

Can you find out if thats something they would be willing to sell people? You sound like you know them pretty well. I would make my own but I have so many other things I'm working on and no time. It would be nice to just buy something for a change lol

Or at least if you ever run across some pics showing the mounts that would be awesome to help me make mine. You could pm me if you ever end up with some pics showing it.

Jay Tech (the guys who made the aftermarket 6 injector elbow and intake that Keith sells) had a water pump elimination (see link for the water pump flange with AN fittings) and driver's side alternator relocation kit at one time. I don't know what happened to Jay Tech or that kit, but you could start by asking Keith (rxrotary2_7).

cluth

Look what santa dressed in brown brought me today. What a surprise! Worth every penny and every month waited! (almost 6 months for the clutch)

Carbon Carbon twin plate Tilton clutch set with custom Aasco performance aluminum flywheel!

Thanks to Jim Lab for the legwork as the axles are available at the Driveshaft shop for the 8.8 conversion and in stock!

mufflers

Youv'e all seen the videos of the rotary flame thrower!

How about a double flame thrower!

A few quick peeks at the exhaust started!

Also a sneek peak at the Carbon fiber MarkWilliams driveshaft between the dual 3" pipes.

turbo

The huge turbo is in place! Now I have to start making the pretzel!

Fitting a 20B in a 3rd gen is tough. Fitting it under the hood with a huge turbo is almost impossible!

I am not sure if i have to give up some space or not for the water to air intercooler.

Will it be the powersteering, Air Conditioning or BOTH?

Only a twin plate? Wouldn't a triple hold up a little more for a 1000hp car? Most Japanese twins are only good to around 700hp. I have an ATS carbon triple. I haven't been able to use it yet. Hopefully i'll have my car back on the road in 3-4 months. Seperating the Air Force set me back a little. Did you make that Y for your exhaust or did you get it from burnsstainless.com?

I went over the choices with tilton as they suggested the twin setup over the tripple. They said it would be more driveable and should hold the torque a rotary will make even at 1000hp. In the end, the weak link will ultimately be the traction!

Yes, sad to say but burnsstainless come through again and not cheap either. I need to learn how to build a collector! Over $800 in 2 collectors!

Starting of Intake design

After countless hours of cad work, here is the prototype intake design!

This is the 5th model i have made and the first one that will fit in the car... I just hope the combination is right!

Pictured is a side view of one of the primary intake runners!

Now i just have to build it......

Hey Rich, have you received the flanges I machined for you yet? Oh, and check your mail!

BTW, if you need any help on the CAD design/machining of your intake manifold, LMK. I'll be more than happy to help you out, if you need it.
