pictures of unobtainium
pre-production prototype car #33, tagged as built in 2/78 but Mazda official Records say the first 50 were made in late 77 serial number SA22C-500033

production prototype #88, built in 2/78, serial number SA22C-500088, in the offical Mazda records the first 50 were built in 77 then a second batch of 50 production prototypes were built in 2/78, these were also some of the cars that Mazda had at the Press introduction (not sure if either one of mine were there though) Official production started in 3/78.

side note the lower metal molding is actually one of those cheesy dealer accessory items
83 Pacfic Avatar, 17k original miles. 12A Turbo car purchased from a forum member undergoing a complete restoration.
Brand spanking new pair of 79 late version alloy rims.

Whole rack of NOS tires/rims, (older picture only showing half the tires and some of these weren't NOS)

3 RHD 79-80 Savannas.

NOS 79 LE, 80 Anniversary and the 81-2 GSL Badges (yea everybody has them but not NOS), the NOS GSL ones aren't in this older picture and only one each of the LE and AE ones

Mazda Service Bulletins documenting the parts of 79 LE, 80 LS, 80 Anniversary, 83 LE (not posted yet so y'all need to get on to crit about it). documents in upper right corner, and in the lower right corner is the mazda competition manual

Oh yea and one piece of unobtanium. One of only 3 remaining pieces of the original 1979 Factory Daytona Car #77

Due out to you guys still are the
set of original NOS anniversary stripes,
NOS Seat Covers for 79 in plaid and red dot.
NOS tan/brown 79 door panel.

The 'Dude Abides!
Row of Savanna's is killer Dave, not to mention the other Naughty Old Stuff (isn't that what NOS means??
The Sparks SA is absolutely sin-on-wheels. One do you need to line up The Herd for a group shot...
All very museum-worthy! Thanks for sharing.
Would love a PDF of the Bulletins on the LE/LS/Anniv X to round out my Parts Catalogue!!!

we are working on getting them all rounded up for a "family picture" the problem there are ones scattered to the four winds.
and considering where (first gen section) we were posting I really left some of the good stuff out. ie 27k mile original R100, J-spec 1976 Cosmo AP, NOS 12a Rx2 engine. etc

This should be my last go round in the sandbox, time for me to leave it to the younger kids and hang up my spurs. Feb will make 20 years for me, so take that for what its worth in the way of future restorations and such.

I just got some parts today that are composed of such pure unobtanium, I can't even tell you about them yet.
Not yet out for sale as of today; I'm supposed to install them on my car over the weekend for an upcoming publicity shoot.
Pretty damned cool, too.

Went to RB today. I begged for some old school SA/Fb posters they dug this out of the rafters.

Behold, the glory....

Racing Beat genuine silicone radiator hoses for first gens!
And in my color, too... wonder how that happened?
The first pair released from captivity; you heard it here first.

They're not on the website yet.
New product, soon to be released - not yet OBTAINABLE.
Looked like they had kits for several different apps. I'll ask 'em about heater hoses, but recall they specialize in race parts.
These are mine in return for letting them photograph them installed on my car, for promo use. So you know what I'll be doing this weekend.
I saw a red prototype some months back, but the only ones i saw in the warehouse were Blue.
No idea as to price.
