If I could just find some damn lined hose clamps, I'd be putting them on right now... local auto parts stores suck any more.

Dammit.

I visited the states TWICE (once in 2005 and once in 2008), both times I visited RB and had no idea you were close

I gave up trying to find lined hose clamps on a holiday weekend... I had some .02 brass shimstock laying about, so I made some clamp liners instead.

Installed. No runs, no leaks, no errors.

In progress; underpan still off.

Completion!

Out in the sun; run, run, run.

Thanks, gents.

Somebody around here was showing off a full-polished smog pump at one time, and it was a total thing of beauty. I'll tackle that some day, once I actually have a bench grinder.

I drove the lil' beastie in to work this morning; hopefully, the morning cloud cover will clear off so RB can get their pix.

Pix were shot at lunch today; the guys at RB tell me the hoses will be up on their site within the next few days, and are available as of now via phone order.

Bummer; unobtanium no more. But I had 'em first!

Currently, the color is blue, and the price is $90 for the pair, per Jim Tanner @ RB. They have specific hose sets for all three applications of 1st-gen, possibly other generations (didn't ask).

They are considering other colors, but the first batch were all done blue.

You'll also want the "lined" style hose clamps, with the metal tongue that prevents the hose from extruding thru the holes in the clamp. I believe RB are laying in a stock of those - turned out to be hard to find locally outside of a Grainger or McFadden-Dale type of industrial supply house.

I can attest to high quality materials - triple-ply internal reinforcement, and quite stiff compared to normal rubber hoses. No danger of cavitation collapse on the lower hose, plenty rigid.

The fit was excellent - - not over-short like the aftermarket hoses I've seen. You do want to be careful that you don't let the thin radiator neck material 'bite' the hose getting it on, since silicone does cut a bit easier than rubber.

I asked if they'd consider doing heater hoses; they said they'd look into it but their minimum run with the manufacturer is 100 pieces, they're unsure if there's demand enough.

That is my air pump. Here's a current pic of the engine.

I really admire your work. You're probably like me. If a part is not right I'll do it over until it is right.

make sure that you use a really good release product and that the cake batter doesn't have alot of air in it. Also use a very moist cake mix and perferably one that doesn't shrink much.

BTW no I am not gay this is coming from my wife 78cosmogirl
