OK, last shot across the Bow -

Set of 4 NOS waffles with original un-used 185/70-13 Bridgies (aka: spare tires) collected over the years.
Still with painted treads and wee little, er, *******...

One sampled here.....

What a wonderful customer appreciation value-added follow-up. That George Bertels lithograph is special. I wish the MAZDA dealership would have surprised me with such a thoughtful gesture after I purchased my original 80 near Kansas City, MO.

In the past few years I have considered hiring a car enthusiast artist to make custom lithos of my favorite first gens.

Mike, the closest your dealer might have come to a thoughtful gesture was selling you the car at "only" the List price! So fess up: What did she cost you?? Did you keep YOUR window sticker/invoice?
Now THAT would be Unobtainium bro!

Can I nominate my 100% original and unmolested 60K mile '83 GS as unobtanium?

Nice ride Swivel - ya any clean, low-ish mileage RX that hasn't been riced certainly would be in the unobtainium arena. She's a Beauty.

Ray - that steering wheel is just SIN on 3 spokes, man! Nice! A used-but-clean leather St. Wheel?!
GOT to be unobtainum Bro. Good score-

I'd count a 100% original and unmolested 60K mile '83 GS in my driveway as an unobtanium part. So are those original things from the dealer.

Dave, Stu, looks like we've met your match and raised you 1 unobtanium.

And yeah, what the heck

So anyone know anything about this ****? I bought it NIB from a guy who said he owned a dealership in the early 80s and this was leftover stock. Supposed to be real leather, the top is supposed to be gold leaf topped in a special UV coating for protection and sheen. The **** has 2 different thread patterns inside so you can mount it on an SA or FB I'm guessing.

The Rx-7 logo looks incorrect to be a mazda factory accessory.

Yah, not a Mazda part, but kudos for a neat, as-new aftermarket piece tho. Possibly even rarer than an OEM ****? Nice find Ncross!

& 7K RX7?? THAT has got to be a List-Topper for Unobtainia!? THIS I would like to see more of too...

I'm guessing British Victoria on the shifter ****, back when I had my MGB I got a **** with an MG logo on it from BV that looked a lot like the one NCross has there. And yeah I agree, it's a very nice item!

Alex, sounds like a few more pics of that low mileage '82 would be in order!

Still in Iraq till August, but looking at stuff like this makes the time go faster

pre-production prototype car # 33, production prototype #88 both built prior to official construction in Mar 78. 83 Pacfic Avatar, 17k original miles. Brand spanking new pair of 79 late version alloy rims, set of original NOS anniversary stripes, Whole rack of NOS tires/rims, 3 RHD 79-80 Savannas. NOS Seat Covers for 79 in plaid and red dot. NOS tan/brown 79 door panel. NOS 79 LE, 80 Anniversary and the 81-2 GSL Badges (yea everybody has them but not NOS), Mazda Service Bulletins documenting the parts of 79 LE, 80 LS, 80 Anniversary, 83 LE (by now they should have been scanned and posted on the internet on some other site). Just some of the most amazing little things.

Oh yea and one piece of unobtanium. One of only 3 remaining pieces of the original 1979 Factory Daytona Car #77

I can get to some of the pictures on my photobucket site and will try to edit this message later or repost it with pictures.
