Nice find, Ray! If you keep finding these deals you'll need to get started on barn #3 pretty soon!

Thanks Tommy and Brett, the Rotary Gods do tend to favor me for some reason.

That 544 is going to be a fun restoration, right out of a 1960 showroom.

Barn #2 is coming along, but slow with a 1 man roofing crew.

Barn #3 has been ruled out by Cathy.

Do we need to set up a "barn raising" day to help you get that barn finished?

That would be fun, certainly we need to have some excuse to gather rotaries soon.

I'll talk with Mike, he's our social secretary.

In the meantime, more on the 544:

Good looking barn and neat looking car! That shifter is a nice touch.

A barn (roof) raising party with the guys would be a fun time, count me in!

Thanks Brett and Tommy for offers of assistance with the barn!

But what really needs to be done is get rid of Trump, anything you can do is much appreciated.

oooooooh, pre-redblock era Volvo. Sorry I like the P1800 too much to go older in the Volvo world. The redblock is in my top 5 of best automotive engines ever made.

The 1951 MG TD has a redblock, B20 with high compression head and dual HS6 carbs, probably out of a P1800.

Back burnered to get the barn done.

The plywood floorboards are tricky, aligning the holes with the transmission and driveshaft tunnels and frame requires superhuman intelligence. Just one of the joys of working on British cars.

Are you thinking there's an MG in your future Brett? There's some nice ones on FB Marketplace right now.

I am at full capacity... currently waiting for a 18x50 metal carport to be installed so I have a place to park the new to me boat.

I may come up for a day, but we have a family trip around then. I have heard a few other people say they're planning to go. Sounds like it could be a more relaxed event than the spring one.

Hey Brett I know me and you are pretty close to each other by location. I wanted to ask you or anyone really, where a good trustworthy body shop that can fix my rusted out rockers, dented front driver fender, sand, prep and paint my 85 RX7 GS. I’m willing to take it as far as the Tennessee area and as far down as the Atlanta area and all around. I had a car accident back in February that snapped my tibia and fibula. And I’m still recovering from it so I would like someone to do it who is trustworthy I’ve always wanted to be surprised when going to see my car when it’s fully painted I have a budget of about $15,000. I just wanted to come on here and ask y’all since a lot of y’all are in my area or even in my state who have very similar cars and have more knowledge than me. I have an idea for my build. I got a local exhaust shop who can set up my exhaust and I would like in my car painted
Here are some photos of the only damage on my car it’s just that front fender

You can see it pretty good here

I can offer a little advice but not much.

I have gotten work down at ANH Collision Specialists in Dawsonville over by the Outlet Mall. They did a pretty good job BUT it was insurance work, and I've heard that's all body shops want to work with lately. Like 15 years ago my aunt had some out of pocket work done at Nix Paint and Body in Dahlonega (near the high school), my mom had that car up until last year and the repainted parts held up well.

I bet I have a good drivers fender you can have. Let me dig through my pile

Jacob, this could be an excellent opportunity to learn how to do body work.

And save a ton of money in the process!

If I can learn how to do it, you can too.

Or better yet, get your wife/gf to do it!

Here's Cathy and her buddy Deb painting the CJ.

Fenders are cheap enough and that fender isn't original to the car, I'd just get a new fender.
