that sucks that he backed out... why can't you try and find another buyer?

here is some pics of the iron porting, a mild primary with a decent secondary, i would eventually like to try extending the duration of the opening edge on the secondary ports but i don't plan on experimenting on anyone's but my own engines...

The ports look great Ben!! I'm going to look around and see if anyone else wants to buy my motor so we'll see. I'm just not going to get my hopes up about it. Plus, since it's ported and only has 6K miles on it I might be better off using this one until it blows and then buy an RE anyway. Still up in the air now that I have a choice again.

How much are you selling your motor for?

sorry pbchief2, this motor is out of Bert's car. i can build you one for about $1650 if you have no turbo core engine(i used one of my irons so i don't have a complete set anymore so it would be a few weeks before i can locate either a core engine or an extra iron to be able to complete a turbo engine without a turbo engine core). keep in mind porting is $200 extra.
edit: on second though, i assume you were talking to Zach(Boostedrex) in which case disregard the above, i think i already quoted an engine to you.

here is a teaser of the short block

i am letting the seal support land support epoxy set up before i assemble the engine and put it back in the car. the rear rotor housing still needs a little cleaning around the exhaust port and seal surface and the front cover and oil pan is filthy so i am going to toss them in the parts washer tomorrow and repaint them and it will be ready for assembly at that point. sorry for the delays, i need to get my car smogged this week on top of getting this done so my hands have been pretty full lately. my goal time to have it ready for pickup is Saturday evening.

also, Bert, if you want to go premix let me know so i can do the mods to it when i put the engine in. premixing is a little more of a headache(having to keep 2 stroke oil on hand for each tank of gas, as you can see my oil is out on the bench ) but i much prefer it over the stock OMP system for peace of mind and more protection. (no charge for the upgrade since i prefer premixing)

no thanks Ben, think I'll stick to just conventional pump gas, I don't think I can remember to premix everytime.

I'm out for this one. I'm taking off the supercharger kit and going with a turbo engine swap. I've got high aspirations for this swap - I already have a standalone EMS, so I'll add a hybrid turbo, a FMIC so I can keep my NA hood, and all the fuel I need. I'm hoping that I can become the first person to break 400hp on a BNR turbo...look for my car later this summer...

pbchief2, you have a PM.

Kevin, cool to hear that you are shooting for such a high hp goal. Is that using the BNR stage 3 turbo? I will hate not getting to see the supercharged FC though. Like most other people here, I have never seen one. I'll be looking forward to seeing the turbo swap done when I get back from the desert in November though.

Ben, that engine looks GREAT!! Now if pbchief wants to buy my engine that would put me back on schedule for the RE motor I wanted to run. Still not going to get my hopes up, but it would be cool.

Hey Nick, here are a couple of pictures of my friend's 10th AE that I thought you would enjoy. The LS1 powered FD is also in that album. Other than that there are just some random pictures of some of the SC RX-7 club cars. Of course anyone else that wants to look please feel free to do so.

Patience Jake, don't get in a hurry and "rig up" something because it will only break and really screw something up. You know that as well as I do. Just take the time to do it right the first time.

Well it's either that or buy a new Thermostat housing and I just don't have that kind of money.

Auto-X Schedule

For those who are going to run next week, check out the schedule, STREET TIRE RUNS AFTER LUNCH on both Sat. and Sun..

Looks like (3) 2 lap runs on Sat., and (4) 1 lap runs Sunday. Also, the whole event is moved up 1 hour earlier on Sunday...

sorry i didn't call you for the update Bert, usually when i'm working i hate to stop in the middle. the engine is in and fired but then flooded out, the CAS may be a tooth off and Nick has my timing light so it will have to wait until the morning.
