haven't heard from Shane yet, i get about 20-30 calls from solicitors(refinance solicitors, i refinanced my home last month yet they don't listen now i just yell at them and hang up, easy to tell when they call since there is a 3 second delay before they say anything) per day so i screen a fair amount of my calls until i bother to sign up for the no call list. tell him if i don't pick up to leave a message or he can call my cell #530-701-8488.

sure Chue, i'll be around most of the weekend but only part of the day Saturday.

thanks for the referrals guys.

I have a brand new hatch on my FC If you want i'll make you a pretty fair deal, it cost me close to 600 just for the glass, just to put you in the price area i'm looking for. Obviously not going to get what I paid, but would like to get something fair.

Sorry that last post made it sound like he shot the windows at PnP. NO, he went around town and shot out cars on the side of the street, mine was one of them.

Ok i'm sick of trying to make the stock temp gauge work and I wanted an aftermarket one anyways, so I'm getting one, damnit. Are they hard to install?

pics of the rotor housing porting. left obviously stock and right ported. anything much more than this will affect emissions and requires sleeve modifications or omition.

the turbo is ported also but i need to finish cleaning it up and welding on the new wastegate flapper. the irons i still need to finish, i had a few emergency calls from old customers to fix their cars...the parts will be in tomorrow so all i need to do is finish up the turbo and irons and slap it back together and toss it in the car.

also Bert, the sales dept. at rotaryaviation is closed for the week so you are getting Atkins apex seals and gaskets. a little easier to work with but cost about $50 more which i will take care of.

the happy flying doritos of fury!

the haze looking stuff is cleaner from the parts cleaner, it will be wiped off before reassembly. i managed to save almost all of the zinc plating on the rotors, this protects them from corrosion and it is rare to find rotors that still have it on them. also to note, the turbo has minimal shaft play, least i've ever felt on a turbo so it should be good for another 100k unless it gets abused, which it might...

Zach, Anderson's is an auto wrecker, look em up in the yellow pages. probably $60 for the rear end and $10-15 per axle hub is my guesstimate, they are reasonable with their prices(especially with posi since their prices are generic for everything on the lot..).

temp gauge is a pretty straight forward install, it just depends where you want to put your temp sensor. i drilled and tapped mine into the thermostat housing (one of the best locations).

awesome Ben, thanks a lot for the rebuild, whenever you're done just hit me up on the phone. Don't wanna rush you, so if you need more time it's cool, but I can't wait to get it back without worrying about my engine.

Theres already places to put the temp gauge i'm going to see which one works the best tomorrow. Otherwise i'll have to do what you did. Got the gauge from autozone for like 17 bucks. Wasn't about to spend 120 for a greddy gauge.

Ben, the engine looks GREAT!! I wish I could've come by to help out. Hopefully Shane will get a hold of you for a rebuild too.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!!!!! The idiot that promised me he would buy the motor out of my TII has backed out!! Damn I hate flakey people!! It looks like I am just going to keep the engine I have now until I blow it. But I am still going to do everything else I was talking about. I just really didn't want to use an S4 TII motor for this project. I'M PISSED!!!!!!! I guess that's how it goes though.

On a good note, I have a guy that has spent the last decade as a machinest and he is going to start making custom exhaust manifolds for us. The price will be between $600 and $800 starting out. They will all be hand made stainless steel manifolds. I have seen his work on other things and he has some of the cleanest welds I've ever seen!! If anyone is interested, let me know and we'll get the ball rolling on this.

Zach
