Runnin' slow? Think so...

I haven't been to the track, but I bought one of those "Performance meters" made by Beltronics called the FX-1. It logs your 0 - 10 mph, 0 - 20, etc. up to 100 mph, your quarter mile time, and g-forces. It says The best I've done is 0 - 60 in 7.45 s, and the 1/4 mile in 15.75s.

I have a ported engine with Racing beat headers and pre-silencer, and a K&N air filter in a cut open air box.

This is slower than it should be isn't it? I'm really not sure how much HP I'm running, I thought it was near 190-200 hp, but after this I don't know what to think.

I'd doubt on you have 190 whp on an n/a with those little of mods. I've never personally owned one of the electronic g-force meter things, but I'd say the best thing for you to do is get to a track and see what it'll do.

Butchering the stock air box has only miniscure gains. And if its cut open you're just stuck in air.

Get a SAFC and tune it. You're probably running rich.

Also go to the track, those things are alirght, but not that accurate.

Weight reduction, cold air box with a high quality filter, and a good clutch will make it word.

With what I said above, you'll hit 14's.

What places are most notorious for taking up to much weight? I've already done the obvious like spare tire and not letting my gf ride with me, that's an extra 114 pounds not needed. With my modifications how much HP do you think is more so in range?

No I'm not posting from Africa, I randomly did the sign up to get through it quickly. And I don't know if you were being sarcastic with that question or not. But 15's are deffinitly not fast enough.

Or you could use the other 2 power adders: Supercharger or nitrous.

Either way, you should use one of the three power adders, Or a combination of the three. Its all really up to you and your goals: HP, quarter mile time, 0-60, etc...

He can easily get into the 13's with a good streetport and tuning.

Aka a Kahren streetport and a SAFC.
