Good Morning West Region,

I was thinking about do setting up a meet for the South Bay Area (Torrance, PV, Redondo Beach, Hawthorne, Lomita, Long Beach, and whoever else wants to come).

I want to see if there is any interest from any of the South Bay folks for attending. We can meet at a shopping center with a few food restaurants so we can grub and hand out.

I know what you are thinking....meets are lame and everyone has their clicks they hang out with. I plan on making these meets more interactive so that we don't have that situation. We are all part of the same Rx7 family and I would like us to get to know one another so when we see a rx7 on the streets of the South Bay we don't have to wonder who that owner is; We can just say, "Hey, there goes _______. Let me shoot him a text and tell him to slow his *** down so he doesn't get a ticket"

So...any thoughts?

Okay, I will pick the day and time and hopefully it will work for everyone.

 

It's really not a long drive to the Cerritos monthly meet. I'm in Torrance and it's about a 20 minute drive. Nice bunch of Rotary guys there.

There's one that goes on at the In-n-Out on Hawthorne and Del Amo Blvd already. It's a friday night meet but I don't know what the interval is. I was just invited one day. I've been before and there were various cars there, not one particular make.

 

If you can find out when it is then maybe we can just crash it.

 

How about closer to OC so we can include OC guys. Maybe somewhere like Westminster Mall?

 

I believe it's teh 3rd friday of every month.

But with that new In N out that just opened, off artesia and Western, That may be easier for some since it's near the 91/110/405 freeways

 

reviving an old thread instead of making new ones,

so to shoot flame with a POWERFC, all you do is go to rev/Idle and just turn the setting for RPMs to max? at what speed/gear does it tend to shoot ?

 

Seems like it's been hard to get people to come out. I'd like to think there's a good number of us in the South Bay area still?

That would be cool except I gotta work both days this weekend I'm off next weekend (4th and 5th) which is the weekend right before 7/7 not sure about other people's schedules but I'd be down to meet up!

 

Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2 should be setting up a meet for the end of the month but haven’t heard anything yet.

 

I don't know him personally. Do you think he'll throw up an announcement about that on the West forum?
