Arrow From Mod: You guys want a "mega" wheel pic thread?

There's no reason we couldn't take every wheel pic thread in here and merge them all together so that all wheel pics are in one big thread. I could even add it as a sticky or put it in our link list so nobody would have to search for it.

You guys like that idea? If so here's where I need your help Please PM me with all the links to the threads in the Suspension section you'd like added into the Mega Wheel Pic thread.

93 R1 I'm asking if people would like to make a big wheel pic thread; not make THIS thread the big wheel pic thread

I can merge all the old threads into one with some pushes of a button. I just need the addresses of all the old threads people would like merged.

Sounds good.

EDIT: need to remind people to upload them to the gallery so the pic links don't end up as red x's too.

Definitely. Maybe it will help cut down on the "I need a pic of rims on a FD" threads.

it'll be too hard to search through pages and pages of pics just for a certain wheel

Not at all. If someone is searching for a particular wheel all you must do when using search is to tell it to show results as individual posts rather than entire threads. This will take you exactly where you wish to go inside a thread even if the thread has hundreds of posts in it.

This of course assumes the posters put the name of the wheel within their posts If they don't you'll just have to browse every page anyway.

If you set it up like the mr2 forum, it'll be good fitment info too. This is their wheel thread sticky:
http://www.board.mr2faq.com/showthre...5&pagenumber=1

Maybe 3 stickies?

FD Wheel pics/fitment:
FC Wheel pics/fitment:
FB Wheel pics/fitment:

EDIT: It would require a little moderation, making sure people list their specs with the pics. It would probably eliminate 75% of the wheel questions though - at least get them down to one reply pointing to the sticky.

What about making 3 forums (one for each generation) and inside can be topics specific to one wheel or wheel brand. Then if someone else purchases the same wheel with a different body color or size, it can be easily added into the same area.

Although, that would be alot of work.

We do have lots of scattered wheel threads and they are certainly a popular topic of discussion here.

I think the idea of different threads for each gen might be a good one.

Really all I need is help in locating all these old threads. I should find most with searching, but would appreciate links from others. There are lots of wheel pics in the gen specific forums too; I could contact the Mods of those sections and we could collaborate by moving all wheel pics in any other section to right here and sort them into seperate threads for FB, FC and FD.

It will take some work but not so much as to be a problem. Once we get it established and all the old info into the threads they will pretty much live on their own.
