volk gt-n's

What does everyone think of these rims for my silver FD? I really want Kinesis but they are financially gonna hurt real bad. Here are some pics. Also was wondering how wide they come. I'd like ideally 18x9 front and 18x10 rear with 255/35 285/30 tires. I think they may only come in 9.5 width. Will this fit even? I know the rear would but what about the fronts?

Here's another pic. Usually they are gold but I want either black or gunmetal. Not sure what these are. I've seen them in real life and they have a real nice charcoal color witha fat polished lip.

i think the GT-Ns look awsome, and are pretty light too. the pic of the FD that you attached is RotaryNight's, so he might have some more to say. and the 18x9/18x10 with 255/285 setup sounds awsome. go for it!

Only thing I don't like about them is the "universal" lug pattern. By this I mean the extra lug holes.

I do the test fitments for Volk rims on FD for the US. I did the test fitment on the GTN and trust me they look awsome. I test fit the GTN and the next day put the Volks I had on my car up for sale and bought the GTN in gunmetal 18x8 18x10.

Also Volk GTC come in the first week in FEB. Those kick *** couple people have already pre ordered those.

Ok nevermind i just looked at the images....you already know what they look like on my car.

I really don't know what they retail for. A good price should be close to $1800....also you have to buy the caps seperate.

let me know when you guys are ready for your club deal.

Thanks, Rishie

i can get you the offset info. The weight is probably around 23-25 lbs for these wheels. I've weighed the GT-P's in 17's and they were around 20lbs.

Check out my other posts from the past few days it your interested about GT-N's on a FD with a 1 inch drop

Hmmm. Maybe your set up isn't the best with those rims?
Anyway the GTN rim is sweet. I've been eyeballing them for about a month. Is that price quoted for all four minus the caps? $1800??

Yeah thats what I paid 1800 for 18x10 in rear and 18x9 up front but I just returned the 18x9 for 18x8 since to get the right offset for a FD in 18x9 would take at least 90 days that came from Mackin industries, they said the GT series rim is mainly sold in 18x8 and 18x10 thats why the don't stock the 18x9 but the ones they had that they shipped to me was not for a FD, it was for a Supra I think.

Let me know if you have anymore questions, since SleepR1 has taught me well lol, and I've been on the ohone with mackin (VOLK) about every other day

Hey wptrx7 the volk GT series rims all use different offsets because the way the design sits in the rims, that doesn't make much sense to me but it comes from a guy from mackin who deals with all major sellers btw hes the one who sells to Rishie. I'm going with 18x8 with a 37 offset and 18x10 with a 42 offset but if you get the GT-C they will require a different offset I have a friend here who has a white FD and he has I believe 42 offset up front and a lower one in the rear here is his page http://richsrotary.com/ he would be the expert on GT-C's when I orginally got my rims and tires I got 18x9 up front with a 37 offset which was wrong and mackin admitted it but it would take 90 days to get a 18x9 with a 44 offset that might require a spacer so I rather go with 18x8 with a 37 offset which is correct for my car. For tires i orginally went with 235/40/18 on 18x9 and 275/35/18 for 18x10 but to me that felt to tall and I was told that was higher than the overall diameter of the stock tire, so now I'm going to go with 245/35/18 and and 285/30/18. Also I think that guy rich has his email somewhere on the page above or you might want to start a new tread about the GT-C's and find someone who has them on their car. Hope I was some help make sure to ask a lot of questions and don't end up spending anymore money than you have, like I did I was in to much of a hurry. But this board is really what helped out (SleepR1)
Also something I learned from SleepR1 buy the rims/tires for what you are going to use them for like if you autocross you should get the same wheel and tire size all the way around.
