Hey how's it going! As many of you guys know, we are an Ohlins Engineering partner here in the U.S. We are one of the Few companies that can build custom Öhlins shocks, and do quite a few custom platforms here in the US from the NSX, FD Long Stoke, Corvettes, Tesla, etc, and have been recently getting more and more more requests from FC customers for an Öhlins kit for this platform.
We wanted to see how many of you guys would be interested in an Ohlins DFV kit for the FC RX7 chassis. For whoever is interested, please comment down below, add your name to a running list. If there is enough interest we will begin development, camber plates, mounts, and valving curves for race and street applications. Expected price would be between $2,600 - $3,400 depending on options (sphericals vs rubber mounts, camber plates, etc).
Hey everyone! We're still hard at work at getting these kits into production. For transparency sake, we have been running into issues with what components for McPherson strut cars that Ohlins will sell to their engineering partners. I.E., there's more engineering involved on our side of things than there is with all of the other suspension kits that we make for other cars. This hasn't changed anything other than how long it'll take us to get these on the market. For every new component, we have to design, prototype, and test, before they go into production. As you can probably imagine for something as critical as suspension components, we have an OEM level of quality standards and we gotta make sure that every small, individual piece meets them.
Our current ETA for release is going to be Q1 of 2024. As it sits right now, we're definitely on track to have the first batch ready for sale by then.
We'll make sure to keep everyone posted on the updates as the development comes along!
Thank you for everyone’s interest in the potential product! We are estimating the price of this kit to be between $3000-$3500. For those who are still interested, we will be setting up a deposit page on our website which we will link on this thread shortly.
I would definitely buy a set. I’m wanting to buy something now and because Ohlins is currently not available for the fc I’m hesitant to buy anything else.
good to hear you are looking to fix that.
Yup, still being worked on... just slow to build interest so far so PLEASE PLEASE everyone help get the word out to the FC community about this possibility. We'd love to make this happen but we need numbers! I'll start a list below with the people who have mentioned they are interested... please list if you're looking for a Grand Touring setup, Street and Track, or Dedicated Race setup. We would be trying to keep costs around $3K if feasible... if we can get a LOT of interest we may be able to drive the cost down further but would need to make/valve a lot of shocks.
Cheers,
SBG
(Please note Grand Touring, Street and Track, or Dedicated Race suspension). And if you would be interested in Camber/Caster Plates additionally or just suspension (roughly $4-500 for camber/caster)

If you are no longer interested please kindly remove your name from the list so we can have an accurate head count. If you are interested, please list if you'd want camber plates, and what spring rate. The proposed kit would look similar to the below:
Very much interested.
having beeb out of the FC game for about 15 years, I was just looking tonight at what options were available and the only thing decent looked to be the fortune 500 kit.
Ohlins would definitely fit the bill for my next build, and at a price point of $3200-3500 with plates also fits the budget.
Do you have a description of that each kit consists of to help us decide whether we want, grand touring, street, or track?
Grand touring - Every day use, focus is on ride quality and daily driving comfort. Sporty, but comfortable.
Street / Back Roads - A bit stiffer, still good for daily use but on the firmer side... canyon carving, light track use (HPDE's), and general every day use with a focus on handling / grip.
Dedicated Track - Much stiffer, designed for aero, competitive track use, and setting fast lap times, stiffer for street use but you can still drive it to the track... but as a daily it would be on the stiff/harsh side.

lets do it! Im ready. What is the projected time frame for these?
I have emailed your company quite a few times about ohlins and head lights for the FC chassis. I purchased a set of your fpspec for my s2000 a couple years back and would love for my FC to have a similar setup! I would be interested in the street/track setup.
