Not bad at all! Man those fronts are WIDE - any rubbing yet? rolled the fender lips under? are you running coilovers?

I'll be interested to hear how it runs around the track with that much rubber on the ground.

running JIC coilovers with 12kg/mm front spring rate, ride height about 2cm down from stock. hoping to not roll the fenders.

no rubbing on modest street driving. this is a track only car for me though, so it's only had a handful of street miles with these wheels/tires

this is what is becoming known as the "cooper" fitment. in general, there are no rubbing issues with this fitment. i do have a set a 14 kg front springs in case of rubbing problems or terminal oversteer.

we'll see what happens....

thanks sleepr1.

initially, i had mixed feelings about the aesthetics of that wing. but it's soooo functional. one day i was running at thunderhill late in the day and my front tires were just totally going away, especially in turn 1 (high speed at the end of front straight). it was pushing like a buick. i popped into the paddock, took out some incidence on the wing and went back out. the difference was immediately noticeable and i was able to finish the afternoon without pushing staight off turn 1. not a scientific test i know, but seemed to have significant effect. so i guess as long as "i think" its making significant downforce, it stays on.

regards
fabian

!8x10s DO work. I runsome on my track car with Dunlop slicks and the grip is wonderful. Foko is right, the wing is functional. I had taller wing struts made (thanks, Marcus) to get better air to it and balanced with the front splitter. See a pic from last Nov at....

Did you buy Mark Valeski's car, Brad? Or are those just his wheels? Looks sharp.

Thanks, Daniel. No, Carlos Iglesias bought Mark's car. This car is one I got from Jim O'Brien to replace my silver car that was stolen two years ago. I've done a ton of work on it since, including a complete repaint to the original CYM. There are three CYM track cars running the wheels that came in with Mark's original order.

well, for you.......how 'bout $5000 dollars

seriously though, it's the mazdaspeed GTC wing. i think it's still available. it needs a little modification to be perfect. as bradrx7 mentioned, putting it up higher adds more downforce, but probably more drag (anyone have a windtunnel? ) additionally, using the height of the wing as shipped puts it right in your line of sight in the rear view mirror, especially with the roll cage in (somewhat annoying). and finally, while this hasn't come up for me, if you were hardcore about aero tuning, more adjustment would be nice....it comes with only three possible incidence positions.

i suspect the rear wing downforce is greater than the effect of the the mazdaspeed front bumper/splitter. again, though, without a windtunnel, who knows. i do know, as i previously posted, that you can "tune" handling in some corners with your aero package.

anyone interested in pricing on the kinesis wheels should contact rishie. he gave me a good deal.

regards
fabian
