[QUOTE=fd93texas;9138965]Hey Venom, Listen to what this dude says about oil For the rotary, maybe you know him. He knows a lil something.
Just cause he is Jay Leno doesn't mean he is right. Low grade Synthetics don't burn and leave a carbon build up. When the rotary engine was first introduced the synthetics back in the day were not fully developed. A lot of R&D has made them a whole lot better today. Mazda said no synthetics cause they didn't want to show favoritism to any special brand or oil company. This isn't a oil thread it is a thread discussing a new member to the forum and the RX-7 community. That was a nice video of his Cosmo.

That is what the 787B used then that is what we will put in. Now that we are no longer talking about oil. We are currently washing the gas tank out with some acid to get all the rust out to see it is salvageable.
If any1 wants to have a discussion about which oil is the best then by all mean do post on https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=220109 <-------This thread instead.

OK got the tank in, everything hooked up, i crank and it wont start. turn over but no starting. i know it has spark, and all that good stuff. i unhooked the fuel filter no gas comes out of the sending hose. i put about a gallon of gas in the tank. Did i hook something up wrong is there not enough gas in the tank?

not enough gas was my first assumption, because i took the tank out and blew in the tank and the lines are clear, and the filter is brand new, so i think its only the gas, ill go tonight and put some more and try again in the morning. im dead broke right now.

It's the pesky fuel pump. i hooked it up to my volt meter, i got 10 volts to it, and nothing happening, also the idiot that owned it before me boshed the wiring on the fuel pump to the power leads, and groundings with speaker wire, and mixed and matched connectors. And just my luck Maz-Max is closed on saturdays. and with a new pump being too much i am going to wait till monday. unless someone has a working one they would like to get rid of im not sure what model years will work for it im going to research that now.
I got one I took off my car, just check it and it works.Your car is been sitting for a while maybe the pump is stocked,if you hit it lightly with the switch on it may start working if not your welcome to try my.I would not buy a used one, you can keep mine till you can get a new one.Where are you guys located?I'm in tomball right now.
