Pretty sure that's not going to work. FD is a high pressure fuel injected system vs the 1st Gens carb setup.

Yeap! The FD runs about 40 psi and the FB around 2.5 to 3 psi, he'll need to run about 10- 600cfm holley carbs with that 12a and he'll be allright

Call em up, they most likely will. i got everything "working" just not running. i need a new fuel pump and ill be good to go. and a battery. which i saved up for already.

On another completely different note, i heard that automatic 12A's can handle more compression, being that the rotors and crank shaft are better than standards. when you switch them out you can run more N/A power. just something i heard.

False, they are the same as the 5 Speeds, they just haven't been beat on as hard as the 5 speeds.

You have that backwards, it should be 75% DISTILLED WATER + 24% COOLANT + 1% Purple Ice.

TX Transmission issues...

ok now that the car can stay running by itself, ive had some time to replace the trans, diff fluid. and im still afraid to drive it. Because when im in the car while its running i can hear this gridningish swooshing sound. but when i put my foot about down on the clutch it goes away. doesnt matter RPM, warm up, in gear out, whenever the clutch is out its making the sound. now ive already done some research, and ive heard it could be throw out bearing, input shaft bearing, release bearing, pilot bearing, bearing bearing bearing. now im all down for the cause to replace it, but while im there shouldnt i just replace the whole shebang, and clutch? because im not pulling it 20 times when one idea doesnt work.
A: what is the problem,
B: what to do about it.
im at a loss here guys, any input would be appreciated, these cars truley fight you when your trying to help them. lol

Lol, now that's the truth if I ever heard it.
As for your problem, yeah, gotta be a bearing, but it's not necessarily the end of the world. How bad is the noise? From your description I think it sounds like the input shaft or throw out bearing. Pilot bearing will only make noise when you push the clutch pedal in. But if you're in there replacing stuff anyway it's a good idea to replace the pilot bearing (and it's seal) as well. I've got the mazda pilot bearing puller, let me know if you need it. :-)

Cant be the throw out bearing, this isnt a FD motor, FB,FC are Push type throw out bearing, so they will only make noise when the clutch is pressed down to disengage the clutch.

Now on a FD it could make noise in or out

IDK, im just guessing that because that's what to FSM diagnosis it as. When the clutch is depressed the noise goes away. But if in down there might as well do it all. then if that doesnt work then myself. but could i drive it like that? i mean just like around the block and stuff, im not going to be launching it or anything?
